The weekend came quickly, which meant another 'sleepover' at the Weasley's. Luckily, he had Blaise and Theo to keep him sane. Them and Justin. That was his way of getting out of things, but today, Potter and the twins had their own plans. They dragged him to Diagon Ally. To go shopping. Why? Draco didn't know, they refused to bloody tell him. That was starting to get on his last nerve.

"Where in the bloody name of merlin are you taking me and why!?" Draco yelled. He gained the attention of a few people walking passed, today was a busy day for Diagon Ally. It was spring shopping time. They dragged him into the Magical Menagerie.

"Here, and for our own reasons." Potter answered the question.

"If its for you, why did I have to come?" Draco growled, all of them smirked, as if they came up with some evil little plan.

"Our reasons, require you." Potter said. Draco frowned and rolled his eyes. "Wander around and tell us the first thing that catches your eye." Potter added. Draco gave Justin to George, he was the only one he trusted there. Fred was still acting like a little mischievous kid, and Potter. He was Potter. Never trustworthy. The only reason he trusted George was because of Maya, he matured more after they started dating.

Potter told him the first thing that caught his eye. There were many pets in the store, black cats, Weasels. Draco sighed, they had Platinum blonde Ferrets. He wasn't going to say anything about it, and he would not tell anyone about it. There were rats of all sizes and colors, which was really quite disturbing. Blue rats were not something he wanted to see everyday. Honestly, he didn't want to see rats at all. There were bunnies and snakes. There were puppies roaming the floors, running around the aisles and jumping on customers legs.

If only Hermione was a dog person.

A small dog caught his fancy, he knelt down and scratched its head.

"What's this ones name?" Draco asked the girl behind the counter. She smiled.

"None of them are named so the new owners can name them, but most call that one Sokka." The woman said. Draco nodded and thanked her. "He's the runt of his litter, he's the only dog in the store that gets along with the cats, that's why the dogs roam the floors and the cats stay on the shelves, they don't get along." She added. Draco thanked her again and stood from the floor. 'Sokka' followed him around as he looked at the cats. Obviously Hermione's type of cat that she liked, was Crookshanks. He was not getting another one of those. If 'Sokka' got along with cats, he could get himself the puppy and get Hermione a kitten.

"Looks like one caught your fancy. Or at least you've caught its fancy." Fred said as he picked up the puppy. Draco nodded.

"The woman said that this one got along with the cats, so if I got anything, if would be the dog, that way I can get Hermione a kitten too." Draco said as he looked at the cats. Two caught his eyes, a smoke-grey one, with blue eyes, and a pure white one, with dark emerald green eyes. They seemed to be siblings, they stayed so close to each other.

"I asked, the woman said these two's mother died a few days ago, and that they cant live without each other, nobody will adopt them because of how scared they are. She said they refuse to eat anything, and that's why they're so thin. The owners are terrified for their future." Potter said. Draco extended his hand to the kittens slowly. They stared at him for a moment, the grey one reached its paw out and put it on his index finger. The white one followed and put its paw on his middle finger.

"Looks like they like you." George said. He held Justin out for Potter to take. "And this one would rather be with you." George said. Potter furrowed his brow.
