Me: HELLO! And welcome back to-
Everyone: Nalu: The Playboy's Ex!
Me: as I was jotting down ideas, I suddenly realised...
Lucy: what?
Mira: that Nalu will be canon?
Natsu: that I kick butt?
Me: one, I know Nalu will be canon, two, I know you kick butt.
Mira and Natsu: oh...
Me: no, I realised that this story got a lot darker than I intended...
Lucy: oops...
Me: ah well, let's start!~~~~~
I place my hand to my chest and control my breathing. There's no use waiting here. Checking the door is shut tight, I slowly stand up and look at Mel. She's not hurt...maybe she passed out from using too much magic? Whatever it was, it's going to be hard dragging her around everywhere. My eyes catch a shelf in the far corner of the room. I walk over to it and with all of my strength, manage to barricade the door. That should buy me some time. But how are we going to get out of this room?
My hands run themselves along the wall, as if hoping to find something, it was a dark room, with dark grey floors and dark grey walls. A single lamp hung in the centre of the dull, white ceiling. There were a few red stains along the wall, blood or something I don't want to know... this place sure is strange...
Finally, I find something. It's almost like a button. I'm about to push down when horror movies fly to my head. What if when I press it spikes fly at my head? Or poisonous gas is released? Or I'm killed in some other gruesome way? I look at the button. I don't have time to question these things! I need to find Lucas, get everyone out of here and get back to Natsu....and Wendy and Grandeeny...
I close my eyes shut and push the button. I hear something move behind the wall. Then I hear the wall move. Reluctantly, I open my eyes. The wall had moved back and to the side, revealing a torch-lit staircase. Fear grips at my stomach and every instinct of mine tells me to run, they'll be another way out. But deep down, I know that I won't find it in time. I sigh as I walk over to Mel and sling her over my shoulder, wishing I'd done that earlier, and begin to descend the stairs.
The wall shuts behind us and shivers run down my spine. A loud, angry, psychotic scream tells me that Mayona has discovered our escape, and isn't too happy. I quicken my pace, half running half jumping. When we finally reach the bottom, I push open a metal door, drop Mel to the floor and slam it shut. I lean against the door and allow myself a few seconds breather.
It wasn't this bad last time. Then again, we hadn't escaped last time. Part of me hopes that this is just some bad dream and I'll wake up in my warm, comfortable bed. Mel wouldn't have gone missing. Mayona wouldn't be hunting us down. And I could heal my relationship with Natsu. Or maybe Natsu, Lucas and Igneel will come save us again. No...Lucas is trapped with us, Natsu doesn't know we're here and Igneel is...dead...
I rise to my feet, determination in my eyes. No one's going to save us. We have to save ourselves.
My eyes scan the room. The walls are made of red brick with a light grey floor, but the torches make everything red tinted. There are crates and boxes everywhere, and someone hanging by their hands from the middle of the room. That's when realisation hits me.
"Lucas!" I exclaim. I run to him, double checking it is him. White hair. Check. Light brown eyes. Check. Tail and ears. Check. And thankfully he had some cloth to cover his...lower section. Then I remember that I'm naked and cover myself to the best of my ability.
"Lucy...." he groans. "That you....?"
"Yes!" I happily reply. That's one thing in the to do list. "Let me get you down." Mayona or her new friend had left the key to Lucas' chains on one of the crates, so I could easily undo them."Where's Mel?" Lucas asks, rubbing his now red wrists.
"Over there." I say and point to where Mel lay. Lucas quickly runs over to Mel and kneels beside her. He strikes some of her hair out of her face.
"She's freezing." He says.
"She is?" I ask. "I hadn't noticed...."
"Let's see if we can find anything in these boxes." Lucas says. "I doubt you want to run out into the open world butt-naked, knowing you." I blush at his comment. "And don't bother covering down here, it's a waste of your energy while we're in here and you being naked is the least of our worries. Besides, not like I'm going to do anything to you." I slowly lower my hands and we begin tearing open crates. It took several minutes but we finally find some blankets. I wrap a white one around me as best I can while tying another one around my waist. Lucas wraps a few blankets around Mel's body, a few around his, and lifts Mel up.
"There's someone else with Mayona." I say. Lucas leads me down a small tunnel that joined into the room.
"I know." Lucas replies. "He's the one who locked me down here."
"Who is he?" I ask.
"I don't know..." he says. "His face was masked and I was drugged, so it's not like I'd remember anyway. But he seemed familiar..."
"You know where we're going?" I ask.
"Nope!" He replies. "But since you came through the metal door, I'd say that way is a bad idea." Another loud scream, assumingly from Mayona, seems to prove his point. This one seemed closer. "She's following your scent." Lucas says and we begin sprinting. The tunnel soon turned into what seemed like a sewage pipe. "Quick, we need to dive into the sewage water, it'll mask our scents."
"Into there?" I ask. "You know that's where people's shit is right?"
"Well it's that or get torn alive by a psychopath werewolf." Lucas says and removes the blankets from around him and Mel. He then gently throws Mel into the sewage water and dives in after her.
"I'm going to hate this." I say as I remove the blankets from around me and dive in.~~~~~
Natsu: when will I get there!?
Me: if I tell you it'd be a spoiler alert.
Natsu: awwwwww *pouting*
Lucy: aww, poor Natsu
Natsu: woof...
Everyone else: ???
Me: anyway, everyone say bye!
Everyone: byieeee!
