Chapter ten

Me: HELLO! And welcome back to-
Everyone: Nalu: The Playboys Ex!
Me: things getting tense!
Mira: will they survive?
Natsu: obviously...I'm going to kick everyone's butts!
Lucy: *covers her butt*
Mira: he's not going to kick it Lucy 😉
Me:....um....let's start!

It stinks. But at least Mayona won't be able to smell us anymore. I reluctantly open my eyes. Everything's murky. I look up and see someone standing there. Female, with werewolf featur-SHIT! I cover my mouth with my hands and look for Lucas. How did she get here so fast? I carefully move along the bottom, eyes desperately searching for Lucas and Melody. My lungs begin to empty...I'm running out of breath...

I look up and see another figure. It's difficult to make out who it is, but the figure tackles Mayona to the ground. I swim upwards, quietly gasping for air, climb onto the surface, grab the blankets I previously threw off and wrap them around me. I see Mel's body thrown onto the side and pull her further in, placing blankets around her. Not long after Lucas climbs up and covers himself with blankets. I look to where Mayona and the figure were fighting but they've disappeared...

"What do we do? Who was that!?" I ask, questions racing through my mind. Questions mixed with fear.
"I don't know..." Lucas says. "We've got to keep moving. She knows we're down here."
"What about that person?" I ask. "We can't leave them here!"
"I know how you feel..." Lucas says. "But it's too dangerous to go find them. Mayona has an assistant, she may have more, and in her crazed phase, its best not to engage her. We'll get out of here and get help." I swallow salvia and nod. Lucas sniffs the air.
"Well...our scents are gone...that should buy us time." Lucas says while standing up. He picks Mel up as I stand up.
"Will she wake up soon?" I ask and we start walking.
"It's hard to say." Lucas says. "But leaving her somewhere will put her in more danger. We'll just have to deal with carrying her around for a while. Speaking of which, would you mind carrying her for a while? My arms are getting tired."
"Uh...ok!" I say. We place Mel over my shoulder and I hold onto her hip so she doesn't fall off.

After several minutes of walking in silence, watching and listening, we come across a metal door...but it was open. It almost looks like it was burnt... Lucas pushes it open a little more so we can enter through. Looks like someone ran through and was in a hurry, so they didn't close it properly.... the room was similar to the one we found Lucas in....with chains in the middle. Only these chains were missing a person, and they looked burnt.
"This magic aura...feels...familiar..." Lucas says. Now that he mentions it, the burn marks do radiate magic. Wait.....
