So as you are all probably aware, I did not update ANY stories on Sunday, there are several reasons for this.
1. I hadn't actually finished any chapters due to assessments coming round. It was getting to the point where I had literally no time for myself after revising and studying and catching up on anything I didn't understand.
2. I'm not going to hide it anymore, I've lost most of my interest in writing these fanfics, don't get me wrong, I love doing them after they've been posted/updated, but it's becoming boring using the same characters over and over again.
3. I've noticed that a lot of my followers have only really followed me for one reason, that I ship Nalu. I've seen people voting on my first story (which was terrible by the way) and then follow me. In my opinion, you should follow people on Wattpad for their writing style and unique ideas, although my first story wasn't that common, I hadn't executed the plot line well and the actual writing *nearly throws up*. And having these sorts of people follow you really makes you feel like you're only accepted because of what you believe (I could've worded it better but I'm sure you get what I mean)
4. A lot of the FT fandom is crazy. I know I'm crazy, but I mean what I call 'shipper crazy'. As in, they're completely obsessed with this ship (usually Nalu in FT's case) and anyone else who ships something else or is open to the idea of something else is 'completely wrong' and 'something's wrong with them', after which they are mercilessly attacked by these crazy shippers. Because of this, I have lost a lot of interest in the ship itself, and while I still ship it, I'm not as enthusiastic about it as I once used to be. This also links back to a recent update that someone did where they expressed their feelings on this (if someone can tell me the name so I can put it in, they used to be called naluforlyfe but I can't find them anymore)
5. I've got a lot of ideas that I want to do for original stories, but, as I said, a lot of my followers only follow me because I ship Nalu and don't follow on with my original ones (which is partly why most all of them are on hold), so I feel/felt pressured to write Nalu when most of the Nalu stories were actually going to be original ones. (Fun fact, 'playboy's best friend' was going to be original characters but was later changed to Nalu)
6. Even though exams/assessments are here I still want to write, however I want to get better at making my own characters with different personalities, I just don't have that much freedom to do that in fan fictions. Plus, I am looking at writing as a possible career, so hopefully you can see why I want to work on more original stuff.
So I've decided that I'm going to write more original stories from now on!
Mira: wait wait wait! Does this mean *sniffs* we're through?
No, Mira, I will still be writing Nalu/other fan fictions from time to time, after all I have a lot of drafts, not to mention the ones I have to finish (I hate leaving things unfinished), but you will see more original stuff from me.
Mira: YAY!
Anyway, I hope you all understand. If you have an issue with this, feel free to unfollow me if you're following me, and leave. In my 'book requests' section I will hand out plot lines as well as covers if any of you are stuck for ideas (after all, we all know I'm not going to finish all 70 drafts), they will be free. Until then..byieeee!
