Aaron stood in front of his mirror, fixing his bow tie as he smiled happily with the knowledge he was about to be a married man. His joy it...it couldn't really be described. Theodosia has been the woman of his affections for many years now, that was no secret at all, he openly pined for her-even when she was married to that Jacques man.

There was a knock at his door and he smiled, opening it for his best man, Richard Montgomery, "Is it time?" He asked like an excited child. Richard nodded and Aaron almost burst, he couldn't wait to see the woman he loved walking down the aisle.

Aaron went to his spot at the altar and waited, watching the wedding party of everybody walk down the aisle and then go to their proper places until she came. The love of his life, the woman she wanted to marry, Theodosia.

White...white was definitely her color. White represents light, goodness, innocence, and purity. It is considered to be the color of perfection. As opposed to black, white usually has a positive feeling and thought around it. White was everything Theodosia was.

He took her hand when she reached him and the two stood next to each other and looked into the other's eyes as the officiator began reciting passages from The Bible though Aaron did notice the usual passage about virginity hadn't been said seeing as he was Theodosia's second husband and she had five children with Jacques so...

"I love you," Theo said quietly as the man kept droning on. Aaron shook his head as he was deep in thought and looked at her confused which made her giggle, "I said I love you, Aaron." She told him.

"Oh..." Aaron blushed and then squeezed her hands gently, "I love you too." He told her honestly. The pastor then told Aaron what Christain vows he needed to say and he took the rings from his soon-to-be-stepson before holding Theo's left hand and saying, "I, Aaron Burr, take thee, Theodosia Bartow, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith and pledge myself to you." He put her ring on and a tear left her eye which Aaron quickly wiped away.

Theodosia was then told the exact same vows to say and she recited them perfectly as Aaron forced himself not to think about the last time she said them, "I, Theodosia Bartow, take thee, Aaron Burr, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith and pledge myself to you."

"You may now unveil and kiss the bride," The man said and Aaron slowly lifted the veil over her so he could see her face.

He took a moment to just look at her face and memorize every inch before leaning in and
waking up.

Aaron looked at the ceiling for a moment, the dream had felt so real he almost swore it was but one look to his side and he knew this was in fact real life. He threw his arm over the empty and cold part of the bed, he missed her, oh how he missed her.

Every morning when they got up she sprayed their pillows with her perfume to make them smell good before making the bed, and her skin was oh so smooth, he could always talk to her about anything and everything and she was educated enough to make a response that even Alexander Hamilton would be able to debate effectively with.

No amount of praying or time would bring her back or ease his pain, she was gone, and she has been gone for years upon year. His love, the woman he loved and pledged himself to, the one he would smile at every morning. Gone...just gone.
