Alex opened his eyes blearily, where was he? The back of his head hurt, the back of his head hurt a lot. He looked around to try and take in his surroundings so he may be able to figure out what to do when his eyes landed on John and he tripped over himself while running over him, "John? Hey, babe, hey wake up."

John opened one of his beautiful brown eyes before yawning adorably and then waking up properly, "Alex? Where are we? Why does my head hurt? What's going on?" He looked around in the same state of confusion as Alex.

"I have no idea is my answer to all of those," Alex replied and helped John to his feet, "Obviously some form of malevolence took place that led us to here. Let's see...the son of a rich man and his lover, I wonder why we were taken, hostage?" Alex's sarcasm would stay alive even in a circumstance of despair, "Okay let's look around."

"Pull sass with me again and I'll bite you," John mumbled and stood up, "Hey look a paper." He held Alex's hand and went over to the table that was in the dark lit cement room, picking the paper up and reading it out.

Hello my sweets

"That's creepy," Alex interrupted, "Could they have said 'dear captives' or 'hello people I kidnapped' but NO they had to be creepy as shit."

"Oh my God shut up and let me read," John said with a frown as he kept reading despite Alex's interruption.

Sorry for knocking you out but it had to be done. Work is work. You'll be freed when I feel like it.

John raised an eyebrow, "That's it." He handed the note to Alex, "How lazy. If I'm getting kidnapped I want it to be done right, Jesus."

Alex rolled his eyes, "You're so demanding oh so mighty princess." Alex replied and closed his eyes, "You should be more concerned with escaping." He then opened his eyes and stared wide-eyed as John opened the cabinets and fridge in the room, filling his mouth, "What are you doing?"

John looked up with a loaf of bread sticking out of his mouth, "...eating?" He mumbled past the food, swallowing it.

Alex choked on his own breath, "We're being held hostage and you decide to raid the kitchen?" He asked, absolutely shocked at the forwardness of his boyfriend.

John nodded, shoving a pickle down his throat before asking, "They didn't say the fridge was off limits."

"Oh my God I'm dating an idiot," Alex mumbled before walking around the room, "Alright so there's no entrance and there's no exit. That logic isn't sound because we had to have come from somewhere, we came in here from somewhere." He rambled as he investigated each corner.

"Thanks, Sherlock," John replied, turning Alex's sass against him.

"Shut the Hell up, Watson," Alex replied, their relationship was built on their unique sense of humor and sarcasm which they never took to heart.

"Shook," John grumbled, plopping into a chair as he watched Alex walk around the room, "Maybe it's a trap door? Like one of these cement blocks is like a button you push or maybe some code shit."

"Oh wow," Alex said and looked over at John, "Thanks for all the help babe I love looking for an escape all by myself." He said sarcastically.

"Oh really?" John replied with the same amount of sarcasm, "Then I guess I'm doing a really good job of letting you do that." He smirked as Alex hit his head against the wall in frustration. Eventually, John did get up to help, "Hey at least they didn't half-ass the confinement room place, wish they put that much effort into the note. The note really makes the kidnapping. Now it feels like there's no buildup. No drama. Nothing. It's so anticlimactic."

"John, please, you're probably making the dramatic irony worse by voicing it," Alex told him, "Because now your mind is focusing on it so why not focus it on finding the goddamn exit?"

"I'm helping!" John whined and crossed his arms, "Or maybe I should stop helping? Then you can do it by yourself." Alex rolled his eyes and John huffed, "I should write a book about this. I'll name it 'Taken Hostage With My Brat of a Boyfriend' how's that title?"

"Oh shut up," Alex replied before his finger grazed something in between two cement bricks of the wall, "I found something."

"Coming!" John skipped over and held the two bricks apart as Alex pulled what seemed to be a string from them, "Rope." He commented.

"Indeed," Alex replied and pulled it until the wall began to crumble. When he saw the wall was coming towards him he grabbed John and threw him over his shoulder, backpedaling away from it as it came down.

"My hero..." John tried to tease but he still felt the effects of fear, the cement walls coming towards him had terrified him because of all things John feared, death was one.

"Yep, that's me. The guy who saves John Laurens whenever need be." Alex said, clapping his hands before setting John down and looking at the crumbled wall, "Hey we can leave, that was easy." Sunlight poured into the room.

"This whole kidnapping and hostage situation was so half-assed I'm honestly not surprised it was easy." John grumbled, "But just in case...you go first, I don't want to die."

Alex rolled his eyes but smiled, "Okay babe." He hurried up the wreck before looking down at John, "It's all clear!"

"I can't write a book about this," John complained and climbed up, taking Alex's hand, "It's too anticlimactic."

"That means I'm not a brat," Alex replied logically, "Okay let's go home."
