Again?

(Y/N) stared up at Will in shock. She had forgotten that he sometimes visited Mary. She had forgotten that she had the possibility of running into him.

This is good, right?

After all, (Y/N) had been wanting to speak with him about the day before. She wanted to confirm whether or not he hated her.

But one look at him told her all that she needed to know - he really wasn't feeling good. Now that she thought about it, he hadn't been looking very healthy the day before either.

Why hadn't she seen how pale and tired he had been?

She wanted to stab something for being so cold and careless. Preferably herself.

To smooth over the awkward moment, (Y/N) forced her mouth into a light smile as she teased, "We always meet like this, don't we?"

Will flushed a deep red. "Y-yeah, I guess."

He pushed himself up, this time succeeding. He didn't even bother to brush himself off. Instead, he bent down and offered her a hand up. "I'm sorry."

She took his hand, not tearing her gaze from his face once. She couldn't stop thinking about the nickname she had given him that morning - before the dark grey clouds had rolled in.

Sunshine.

It seemed even more fitting, now that she was face to face with him.

"Don't be," she managed to say. Her skin burned where he was touching it. She still wondered if she loved him. After last night, she couldn't help but wonder if her mother was wrong.

Please be wrong, please, (Y/N) begged silently. Please let me love. At least let me love him.

He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "I'm still sorry. I'm always such a klutz." His voice had a depreciating tone to it, like he hated himself.

A frown pulled down the corners of her mouth. She hadn't realized how often he spoke badly of himself. It made her sad. And angry at whoever made him think like that.

"And who said that being a klutz is a bad thing?" she shot back irritably. In addition to being a bit clumsy herself, Will wasn't being devalued by how much of a klutz he could be. At least not to her.

He glanced away, a small smile on his face. "I guess that's a good point."

They were both silent. Will was still blushing, nervously pulling on the sleeves of his sweater.

(Y/N) merely took the moment to look at him. Surely she loved him - there was no other explanation for how she felt around him. Right? Or was she just interested by his secrets?

She hoped not. That would be cruel.

Finally, he looked back at her, his blush now a bit more under control. "So, um... where were you heading?"

(Y/N) flinched at his question. She knew she should've expected it, but it still took her off guard. She didn't know if she wanted Will to know about her grandmother.

"O-oh!" He paled at her reaction. "I-I'm sorry! You don't... have to answer that." He dipped his head and (Y/N) could see his ears turning a burning red. She felt guilt flash through her.

"I was being nosy," he finished awkwardly.

Shifting slightly, she listed her head to the side, feeling even worse. She didn't want to see him feeling so obviously uncomfortable. "No, it's okay. I was going to visit my grandma."

Oh wow, you're actually going to tell him? You didn't run away from your own secrets? You're not going to be a coward about this?

(Y/N) was honestly rather shocked by herself.

Her words relieved some of the tension in Will's face - not all of it, but it was still a bit more at ease than it was. "Oh, really?" He grinned. "That's really awesome, (Y/N)."

She smiled softly. Will was beginning to grow on her - awkward clumsiness and sweet smiles and all.

Also, the way that he said her name made her feel brilliant as well.

She swept her hair behind her ear, blushing slightly. She hoped that it wouldn't show.

"It's really not that special of me," she reminded gently. "I'm not really a better person for it."

A strange look of determination crossed over Will's face. He shook his head slightly at her words. "No, it's insanely cool of you to do it. I know some people that would ignore their family members if they were in the hospital." He gave her one of his honest, sunny grins. "So that makes you pretty amazing in my book."

"That makes you awesome, too," (Y/N) reminded him gently.

He flushed a deep red. "Oh. I-I guess." From the look on his face, (Y/N) knew that he didn't agree with her in the slightest.

Glancing down the hallway, she bit her lip. Did she trust Will enough to bring him along for her visit with her grandmother? No, that wasn't the question that she should be asking herself.

Would she trust her grandmother enough to bring Will along?

Or maybe you should be asking Will if he wants to even join you in the first place, she thought almost bitterly.

"You could come with me," she offered, her words rushed. She was going to take a leap of faith and hope that Corrine was lucid.

His blue eyes flashed up to meet hers. "Oh. Um..."

Embarrassment slammed into (Y/N)'s chest.

"Or not! You don't have to at all. In fact, you probably have work, huh?" She rubbed the back of her neck as she avoided looking him in the eye. "I'm sorry. Forget I said anything."

Will slid his hands into his pockets and tilted his head. "No, it's cool. I don't have anywhere to be right now." He gave her a gentle smile. "Maybe we could go out to eat after. To make up for yesterday."

"Oh!" (Y/N) held up her hands nervously. "Y-you don't have to do that. I know you were sick and it wasn't really your fault and -"

"(Y/N)."

Will's voice pulled her from her ramblings. Her (E/C) eyes snapped up to meet his gentle blue eyes.

He reached forward and took her hand almost nervously. (Y/N) couldn't tear her eyes away from them. It was like their roles had been reversed - Will was now that one making her flush with happiness and slight embarrassment. He was the one who was being slightly impulsive.

It was pleasant.

"I still feel bad," he explained quietly. "Please, let me do this for you. At the very least." There was a desperate undertone to his voice, one that she couldn't even begin to understand.

She blinked up at him, vaguely curious. She couldn't help but wonder what was going on in his head.

"Okay."

Will's face softened as a relieved grin spread across his face. "Thank you."

Then, his gaze dropped down to their hands. His cheeks flamed a dark red as he dropped hers. He pulled at his sleeves once again, pulling them over his hands.

(Y/N) frowned, but shrugged it off.

"My grandma..." She paused for a moment, swallowing nervously. "She's, uh, just down the hall." She gestured down the empty hallway, trying to ignore the anxiety that pulled at her stomach. "It'll be quick, I promise."
