Chapter 29 (Will POV)

I pulled my car into the lot by the beach. Keeley was here, I could feel it. I’d woken up too late to see her surf, but I know she wouldn’t leave without hearing the winners. The sun beat down on my tan, stubbled face. I was a disgusting mess, but I’m sure Keeley would just be happy to be rescued. My clothes were wrinkled and dirty, I hadn’t shaved in about four days, and god knows when the last decent shower was, but this was all worth it, just to see Keeley’s face again. Maybe she’ll see me as a new hero now, and fall instantly in love with me. I snorted at that thought. I stepped onto the beach, heat radiating off the sand, burning my feet.

I stopped a pretty blonde girl, obviously a surfer, and asked, “Have you seen Keeley Hollingsworth?” A strange, almost disgusted, look spread across the girl’s face.

“Yea, she’s somewhere over there” she waved her hands in some general direction, and then scampered off in the throngs of people. I shook it off, and began making my way in the vicinity of where the girl pointed.

“Hey watch it!”

“Fuck you ass clown”

“Back off ya’ grom!” people yelled as I shoved my way through the crowd. I didn’t care what they thought. Hell, I didn’t care what anybody thought except for Keeley, the girl I was in love with.

“Have you seen Keeley Hollingsworth?” I asked just about every person in sight until one said, “Yea, she and her crew just got out of the water.”

“Crew?” I wondered out loud. Were Logan and Tegan here, cause as far as I was concerned, we are her crew. As I looked down the beach, with the crystal water glaring in my eyes, I saw her tanned body climb out from the waves. Keeley. I was caught in the same paralysis once again. It was actually her. And this time, I wasn’t letting her get away.

“Keeley!” I bellowed as I took off down the beach. “K!” I saw her look up, and then strain her eyes to see who I was. Her emerald eyes went wide as she realized who I was. “Keeley” I panted as I finally reached her.

“Will?” she gazed at me questioningly. “Is this real?”

“Yes, I’m real K, I came to save you” I reached up and brushed a strand of loose hair behind her ear. “Will…” she started. Just to hear her say my name was enough. That alone could…

“Hey, what’s going on here?” an angered male voice came from behind Keeley. Oh shit, it was one of the kidnappers.

(Keeley POV)

The scorching sun beat down on my bronzed shoulders. My eyes were shielded by my now signature teal Ray-Bans and my lips were glazed with SPF chap stick. My hair was pulled into its old fishtail braid, which Wes said he adored and I was back in my blue bikini. I was home.

“So, you ready Keels?” Wes wrapped his arms around my waist.

“Please, I was born ready” I smirked cockily.

“I bet” Wes smiled his dazzling smile at me.

“Keeley Hollingsworth, Keeley Hollingsworth to the judges table, Keeley Hollingsworth” the speakers blasted.

“Wonder what they want?” I thought out loud.

“Well, you’d better go see” Wes said. God the sea made his eyes even bluer. I kind just wanted to kiss him right now, in front of everyone, especially since some skanks had their eyes trained on him like he was a piece of meat, and they were starving junkyard dogs.

“What’s wrong gorgeous?” Wes asked.

“Those girls are staring at you like your something to eat” I muttered.
