CHAPTER 4: TANGLED EMOTIONS

Sarah’s POV

After her mother’s 2-D Echo test she informed mom that she wanted to go home first to take a proper rest. Her mother agreed and said

Sarah’s Mom: Sige Anak, uwi ka muna ng makapagpahinga ka.

Sarah: Dito naman si yaya Ma, if ever may kailangan kayo patawagin niyo lang si yaya sa bahay or itext ako.

Sarah’s Mom: Huwag ka na magalala sige na uwi ka na ng makapagpahinga ka.

Sarah: Oh yaya ikaw bahala kay mommy ha.

Yaya: Sige Baby Sars huwag ka na magalala. Uwi ka na nandoon na si Manong sa baba iniintay ka.      

Sarah kissed her mom goodbye, left the room and went home. On her way home, she texted Gerald

To: Babe

Ge, baka bumalik ka sa hospital, I went home muna.

After a minute Sarah heard her mobile rang. It was Gerald

Sarah: Ge… She answered with  a small voice

Gerald: Babe, punta ako sa bahay niyo. I want to talk to you! I am worried sick about you.

Sarah: Don’t be I am okay. Sige intayin na lang kita sa bahay.

Gerald: I Love you so much, Babe!

Sarah: I Love you too, always remember that! She whispered to him

After 20 minutes, Sarah arrived at her house and was surprised to see that Gerald was there already, he is sitting inside his car obviously waiting for her. When he saw her, he immediately went out and approached her. He kissed her cheeks and assists her in entering the house. They went to the living room and sat side by side in the sofa. Gerald held her hand and started massaging it with his thumbs as he usually do.

She started to cry, she did not utter a word to him, and she just cried and cried. Hindi niya alam what to feel, what she knows is she love this man so much.

Gerald: Babe why are you crying? He asked her softly with concerned voice while holding her hands tightly and continued to massage it.

Sarah: Go talk to Bea. You need to know something.

Gerald: Babe, ano yun gulong gulo na ako and worried na worried ako sa iyo. Ano ba nangyayari?

Sarah: Ge, just talk to her. Do it for me, please. Mahal kita, remember that! Whatever decision you will have, I stand by you. She held Gerald’s face and run her thumb on his jaw to his cheek. She then smiled a sad smile at him with tears on her eyes.

After a while Gerald, suddenly asked her

Gerald: Are you walking away from me again? He asked her with trembling voice and looked at her eyes while she still holding his face

Sarah: I am not. It is your call now. And whatever your call is I’ll accept. She said softly to him.

Gerald: Tell me straight Sarah, what are you saying? Gulong gulo na ako! He said frustratedly.

Sarah: It is not for me to tell. It is for you to know and discover. Now, go Ge, talk to her.

Gerald: Sarah, I really can’t understand you!

Sarah: Go, and talk to her Ge, and you will understand. She told him firmly.

Gerald obeyed her demands with a really confuse expression on his face. She walked him back to his car. He hesitantly started the car and drove off. She stayed and stared at the slowly fading car.
