CHAPTER 13: IN-BETWEEN

Sarah’s POV:

For her, this should not have had happen, the situation is far more complicated already to complicate it even more, but, it already happened, why regret it and to be honest with herself, she even wanted it and she allowed it to happen... She was staring at him sleeping beside her, “Ge, why did we end up in this complicated situation, ang alam ko lang naman mahal kita.” She whispered solfly to his sleeping form. She was startled when, she heard her phone rang. She quietly put on her blouse and undies and went out of the room to get her bag in which she left at the couch in the living room, and pulled out her mobile. She then answer the call,

Sarah: Hello, oh bakit ka na patawag? She answered the caller quietly as she doesn’t want to disturb Gerald’s sleep.

Daniel: Papunta na ako kung nasaan ka, Sarah, I am disaapointed in you! He told her in an angry and disappointed tone.

Sarah: Ha? Saan ng galing yun, Daniel and how did you know where I am? She asked him with confusion and hurt from her voice.

Daniel: Tumawag sa akin si Yaya mo, worried kasi hindi ka pa umuuwi, eh saan ka pa ba pupunta? Kilala kita, Sarah! Tandaan mo yan! He told her.

Sarah: Eh paano mo nalaman kung nasaan akong address? Daniel, magulo na ang sitwasyon huwag mo na paguluhin! Dala ko ang kotse pauwi na ako huwag ka na pumunta dito.

Daniel: Kasama ko si Manong, sa kanya ko nalaman how to get there. Sinama ko siya para idrive yung kotse mo. Maguusap tayo, Sarah! We are 15 minutes away from there. He told her with finality.

Sarah: Pero, Daniel…. She was cut off because, Daniel already ended the call.

Gerald’s POV:

He woke up surprised that Sarah is not beside him, he got out of bed and put on his shirt and boxer shorts, immediately and went out of the room, to check on, Sarah. She saw her talking to someone on her mobile, he heard a certain alarm in her tone, she ended the call and was about to approach her, when he saw her resignedly sat on the sofa and started to cry, her two hands covering her face.  He kneeled infront of her and asked her gently,

Gerald: Hey, why are you crying?

He was tapping her back for comfort when she lifted up her head and looked into his eyes,

Sarah: This is getting way more complicated, Gerald. I have to get dressed and go. She said softly, anger and confusion in her voice.

Gerald: But, Sarah we have to talk, and at least work this out. Please, Sarah.

Sarah: Not now Ge, not now. She said sadly and walked back to the room to fixed herself.

After a few minutes Sarah, went out the room, fully dressed, she saw him cooking breakfast at the kitchen, he looked at her and said,

Gerald: Sarah, eat breakfast first. He told her invitingly.

Sarah: Una na ako Ge, salamat na lang. She told him hurriedly.

Gerald: Pero, Sarah….. He was about to say something when the doorbell rang.

Sarah seems to be jittery, when she heard the doorbell, he approached her and said,

Gerald: Ako na Sars, sino kaya yon? He told her softly.

Sarah:  Ako na Ge, baka si Manong yan, nagpasundo ako eh. She told him nervously.

Gerald: Ha? Diba may dala kang kotse eh bakit ka nagpasundo? He asked her with voiced completely confused.

Sarah: Ah, Ge basta dito ka na lang ako na lang. He told him with nervous urgency in her voice.
