FLASHBACK: THE PROPOSAL

Flashback: The Proposal

He asked her to go straight to the flower garden as he was caught up in a meeting.

She asked him why, would our dinner be held in a flower garden, and more so why would it be in Tagaytay?

He simply told her that he wanted her to experience various kinds of dates,  if she would stay with him.

She was happy that her boyfriend is giving her all the love and care a woman dreamt of, he never fails to give her little surprises since the day they’ve been together…

She told him that there is no need for a special date since they are not celebrating any special occasion …

But he insisted and told her, Honey, every Friday, is a special occasion because I am spending it with you…..  

Since they’ve been together, Friday evenings are what they both call TGIFDWH “THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY DATE WITH MY HONEY”

She finally conceded and obeyed what he told her….

She was standing in the middle of a flower garden in Tagaytay waiting for him….

She followed his instructions, amidst feeling weird, she relunctantly stand there in the middle of the beautiful orchids in one of the beautiful gardens in Tagaytay.

She was enjoying the view; small lights are illuminating the whole garden making the flowers shine. She was standing for a few seconds when, fire works started to pop above the sky.

She was looking up when someone suddenly appeared beside her. He softly tapped her shoulder to get her attention…

She looked at him in the eye, tears started to flow from her eyes, when he suddenly knelt down before her, he grab her left hand and caress it for awhile and said,

I met you at your lowest, Sarah, I was the happiest man when you gave me your trust and your heart. I maybe not your greatest love but you are mine. Please complete me, Sarah, BY MARRYING ME…..

He stopped his speech for awhile; he gripped her left hand tighter and inserted a ring in her ring finger. He then lifted his head and looked straight into her shining eyes and said,

“Will You Marry Me, Sarah?”

She was speechless and overwhelmed, yes he is not her greatest love but he is, her present. The present who made her feel love again. The one, who accepted her amidst her past.

She helped him stand-up, and she then looked into his eyes and whisphered,

“YES”

He smiled at her before giving her a kiss……

After the kiss she was surprised when her little daughter suddenly appeared beside them and pulled her right hand as if getting her attention.

She looked down at her and kneeled before her,

“What sweetheart?” She asked her sweetly and smiled,

Tita Sarah if you will marry my daddy, will you marry me too. She then inserted a plastic pink ring in her right ring finger and smiled at her.

Will you, Tita?

Tears started to fall from her eyes again, and said to her,

“Of course sweetheart, from now on call me Tita Mama.”  Is that Okay? She asked her softly…

Yes, Tita Mama…

She then kissed her on her cheeks and hugged her.

“Don’t leave Daddy and me, Tita Mama or else we will be very sad.” The little girl exclaimed to her sweetly…

She nodded to her and smiled…..

The three of them then, spend the night with the most romantic dinner ever …
