CHAPTER 10: THE PASSING DAYS

Gerald’s POV:

It was almost a week when Sarah and I last saw each other, I admittedly don’t know where our relationship stands right now. I am scared of the What if’s that we both are asking ourselves but one thing is for sure, I still love her as much as I do when I first met her.

He was on his way to work, when he received a call from Bea,

Ring Ring Ring

Gerald: Bea, bakit may nangyari ba? Bakit ang aga mo tumawag? He asked her in somewhat cold voice. He does not want to face Bea for the meantime, after that kissed he made sure he gave himself and her space but this past few days Bea kept on calling and texting him that he got annoyed.

Bea: Punta ka muna dito sa Condo, I need to talk to you. She said pleadingly.

Gerald: About what? The Baby? He asked in a monotone voice.

Bea: Basta pumunta ka na lang dito muna.

Gerald: Okay, okay in 15 minutes I will be there. He resignedly said and ended  the call.

Bea’s Condo

He went straight to Bea’s floor and rang the doorbell; Lisa opened the door and was informed that Bea was waiting for him at her room. He went straight to her room and saw her reclined in bed. When she saw him she went upright in a sitting position and smiled slightly at him. He approached her and said,

Gerald: What do we need to talk about? He said in a unemotional tone while he sat at the sofa across her bed.

Bea: About the kiss, Ge… Bea said to him in a very soft tone, he almost not hear her.

Gerald: I told you it was a mistake, Beys why do we need to talk about it again. He told her.

Bea: I know you and Sarah are having a rough time, and I can feel that you’re starting to feel for me again. I know Ge, I can feel it. Ge, kahit yung konting feelings na nararamdaman mo sa akin, kahit yun na lang ang panghawakan ko okay lang sa akin basta bumalik ka lang sa amin ni Baby. Please Ge, please….. She told him in a pleading voice while her tears are falling from her eyes.

Gerald was shocked and stupefied with Bea’s plead that made him somewhat enrage.  After her words sinked in him, he finally said,

Gerald: Bea, bakit ka umabot sa ganito? Why stoop down this low, Bea? He asked her in an almost angry tone.

Bea looked at him crying and said,

Bea: You made me go this low Ge, dahil kahit anong gawin ko, kahit anong gawin kong tiis, I can’t stop loving you. Mahal na Mahal kita, Gerald hindi mo ba yun nakikita. She told him between sobs.

Gerald: Bea alam mo kung sino ang mahal ko, simula’t sapol ng bumalik ako sa buhay mo ang baby lang ang priority ko. Malinaw yun sa iyo bakit tayo umabot ngayon sa ganitong sitwasyon, Bea, bakit? He asked her with an evident confusion in his voice.

Bea: The kiss Ge, what was the meaning of the kiss? Please Ge, answer me what was the kiss about? She asked him again pleadingly.

Gerald: It was nothing, Bea. I was feeling vulnerable, I miss Sarah, I’ am confused where our relationship is heading. I somewhat need someone and you were the one who was with me that time. That’s it Bea, nothing else. Sana naman naiintindihan mo na. He explained to her.

Bea: Please Ge, that kiss meant something. Hindi ka nagsasabi ng totoo, may ibig sabihin ang halik na yun, Ge. She continued begging at him.

Gerald does not know if he will be mad at her or will pity her. Bea is out of his mind! He angrily told himself.
