CHAPTER 24: SA KANYA COMES TO AN END

It was a bright sunny Morning the 17th of December , she was in her White Flowy Haltered Gown with Swarovski Crystals Details, her hair was tied back in a bun with soft tendrils on the side a long soft vail covered it. Her face glowing and fresh accompanied by a light but stunning make-up. Her brother and mom both at her side walking her towards the man, who is eagerly waiting for her at the front of the Altar. His eyes misty, as her tears flow from her eyes looking at him, while Sa Kanya is playing at the background, played by a Twenty Piece Orchestra. They were gathered in a Garden in Tagaytay where a former piece of her life proposed to her.

As she walks towards him, she can feel that her dad is smiling down at them, and when he saw Geralds, face as she approached him, she was sure that her dad is jumping up and down their in heaven, because now her baby girl is with the man she love the most and who loves her back with equal passion.

As she neared him, Gerald bend down his head and kissed her mom, he shook her brother’s hand and took her hand and held it lovingly. He walked her towards the altar as the priest welcomed them to their wedding day.

The ceremony was about to start, with their guest eagerly watching them. Daniel, sitting there at one pew, he is Gerald’s Best Man, teary eyed.

The day before the wedding he visted her at her house and expressed to her how happy he is that finally after all the pain and confusion her soulmate is finally and utterly happy.

“Sars, I will always be your soulmate, married or not, I will always be here for you for better or worse. I am happy for you my Little Girl and I hoped and pray it will last forever.” He told her surprised that her best friend is shedding tears in front of her.

As she always says, she will be internally grateful to him, for gracing her life with his unselfish presence.

As she looked backed to the man she will be marrying, she saw him looking at the side where the one woman who graced his life in a special way was seated.

Bea was there, sitting with Alliah, looking at them happy tears flowing from her eyes. Bea who unselfishly let go of her love for him, for her and Gerald to be here right now in this very moment. Beside her was the second most important person to Gerald’s Life, his daughter and now her daughter too, Alliah. She was there sitting with her Mama, waving her small little hand at them. Her husband to be smiled at her and whisphered an I Love You to his little one. She smiled at how this man can be so sweet to the people he love. She then look at the other side and saw the man who gave her the most wonderful gift she ever will receive, the gift of unselfish love, Ian was there sitting with Lester. He gave her a small nod and smiled at her. She whispered a small Thank you at him as she looked backed to her husband to be who is staring at her. She then nudged him and pointed towards Lester, who is there beaming towards them tears in her eyes. They both looked at her and whisphered at her their shared appreciation. She was their angel, the angel who taught them to understand destiny.

As the priest started his ceremony…………………………

When I met you, I was a naïve young woman who was afraid of love and being loved. God knows how far I ran just to avoid it, but where ever I go I will always come back in your arms, for better or worse, Gerald, I will always be by your side. I will Love You until I wilted and die.

A/N: I will leave you with a tender loving memory from my Father.

When my sisters and I were still little kids, my Dad usually tell us that his only hope and wish for us is to find someone who will love us as much as he does.

“I only hope that someday, someone will grace your lives and will love you as much as Daddy does. Daddy, will not be at your side, forever mga anak, and pagnakita niyo na ang papalit sa Daddy niyo sa buhay niyo, I will be the happiest father in the world. Because by then alam ko may magaalaga sa inyo tulad ng pagmamahal at pagaaruga ko sa inyo.”

I guess it holds true to my sisters as they found the right man who will love and cherish them all of their lives like my Dad did for us and my mom.
