A/N: I haven't checked this chapter so sorry if the spelling is a bit wrong but I don't have a ton of time right now😂❤️❤️

Once again, I'm disturbed my wretched alarm at 6am. I groan and literally roll onto the ground. I mumble an incomprehensible word the moment I feel a painful, burning sensation on my forehead. I open my eyes and a see that I hit my head on the bedside table. What a great start to the morning.

I get in the shower and I pursue with my regular morning rituals. I head downstairs and dad is cooking some pancakes whilst mom is just curled up on the sofa with a cup of coffee. I quickly roll my eyes and then I sit at the counter where Dad presents me with a plate of food. Just another day I think to myself.
~
Once again, my first class is math. Yay! A class with Mr stress-head! Note the sarcasm. Seriously, he was ready to give me a detention yesterday just because I was late! As much as I wanted to fight and snap back at him, I resisted. My dad always used to tell me when I was a little girl that kindness never leaves a bad impression, so that's what I stood by. But seeing his amazing eyes- Wait Emma, he's your jerk of a maths teacher. Stop it, don't even go there!

I stroll in, on time, and I take a seat at the back. I see Ruby walk in and she sits at the desk in front. I turn to my left and I see a a boy sat at the desk next to me, he turns around to me. Our eyes make contact but his eyes travel south. He begins to stare at my chest and I squirm at the uncomfortableness but it soon fades when I hear Mr Jones' booming voice at the front of class.

"It's the start of year exam, you have 45 minuets. You can begin!" He bellows, I instantly groan and he catches my eye roll. He sent a serious glare.

I turn back and the boy is still glaring at me but it's more intense than before. I just want this to be over, who does he think he is.

Killian POV:
Watch it Swan I mumble inside my head. I hand out the tests and see that Emma is very tense and looks as if she is about to cry. I'm a few desks away from her when I see her raise a hand.

I quickly continue to hand out the sheets before I reach Emma.

"Yes Emma, how can I help?" I ask calmly, excited to hear her voice-Wait, stop Jones. Don't. Even. Think. About. It.

"Can I just move to that seat over there please?" Her words are laced with desperation and kindness; a pleading look in her eyes. She pointed her finger towards the front of my classroom at an empty desk. I slowly nodded my head once, I was curious. She swiftly grabbed her things and moved to the desk in front of mine, what's happened?

They all began the test and I could see that Emma was struggling. She was rubbing out answers and leaving a few out, it made me feel bad but she was no doubt nervous.

45 minuets later and the test is over. I handed out these short worksheets but most of the students were just talking, everyone but Emma. Her eyes were focused on the sheet in front of her as she solved the problems; something was bothering her, I could see it in her eyes.

Her eyebrows creased up and she sighed, leaning back into the solid chair. I did something pretty spontaneous and stood up from my desk, walking over towards hers. A majority of the time I didn't need to explain again to my student but clearly math wasn't Emma's strong suit, but I wanted to help.

"Do you need some help lass?" I said before crouching next to her desk.

"Please" She whined playfully before slamming her head on the desk. I move the sheet from below her head. Just as I reached over to grab her pen she sat up which caused the pen to fly out of my hand and onto the floor.

"I'm so sorry! God I'm such an idiot" She mumbled before picking the pen up again.

"Hey no, it's okay. Really lass" I said. She wasn't an idiot, not one bit. We pushed past the awkwardness and I finished helping her with the problem.

"Thankyou so much sir, I really needed the help so thank you." She said shyly, smiling at me. And with that the bell rings.

Emma POV:
I walked out of Mr Jones' class. Oh gosh that was actual hell. I looked at my phone and looked at my schedule, English! Finally, a subject that I actually like and a teacher that doesn't scream all of the time. Mr Jones was a good teacher but all he ever does is get angry at the smallest of things. The dude needs to take a chill pill.

The rest of the day is pretty boring. Everything in my life is all the same. I wake up, see the same elderly lady at 7am on the way to school, Mr Jones screams and shouts, Mr Mills is chill and teaches us English, lunch is the same, I go home, usually get screamed at by mom, I go to my room and do my homework, spend as much time with my dad and then I go to sleep. Everything is just clockwork. A never ending clock.

"Emma!" I hear Ruby say, snapping me out of my daze.

"Sorry, what?" I mumble.

"I was wondering if you're coming to grannies after school?"

"Oh, um yeah sure" I agree and we sort out our times.

~

I walk into the diner and I see Ruby in one of the classic booths, I run up behind her and make her jump before taking a seat across from her. For the rest of the night we just sit and chat. I have a good rant about that math teacher Mr Jones, but by the end of the night I'm so tired that I fall asleep in my clothes.

Things have to stay the same before they change, and I could feel that change coming. I just had to sit through the repetitive cycle of a senior before I had my change, and I'm ready for it... it think...

A/N: Next chapter is going to be a lot more interesting! Pinky promise ❤️❤️
