My Night part 1

48 3 1

My darkest nights produce the brightest stars.
Even when all I see are headlights from these car's.
The road to your place was my destination.
Along the way I came to a realization.
There was no hesitation in my mind to turn.
I wish I could lie but then I would feel the burn.
My heart was screaming to turn back.
But my mind kept me on this new track.

I hope in the morning you will understand.
That I'm setting you free from this quicksand.
The war with are words has come to an end.
I hope one day you can call me your friend.
It's not fair to you to have my broken love.
Your god will take care of you from up above.
So I walk up to my house and pray.
That you find the strength to stay away.
