Your Day part 2

Your brightest days blind you to your surroundings.
Even when the sun is blocked by these buildings.
The road to my place was your destination.
Along the way you lost your motivation.
There was hesitation in your mind to turn around.
You wish you had the strength to turn but kept onward bound.
Your mind was screaming to turn back.
But your heart kept you on track.

Last night I set you free when I didn't show.
You knew I was trying to let you go.
The war with are words will never end.
Your love and hate for me started to blend.
We know I don't always treat you right.
Yet your not willing to give up the fight.
So you run up to my door and knock.
But all I hear is ticking from the clock.
