You And I

I don't know what is there left for me to say.
We gave it a shot, now we're on our separate way.
We just never had that spark.
We were both stuck in the dark.
I thought I made my feelings clear.
I guess not because we're here.
Trying to figure out how to say goodbye.
In a crowded airport where it's just you and I.

You give me a wave then grab your bags and walk away.
But then you stop because it feels like your running in a way.
So you turn around and come back to me.
And you give me a hug as tight as can be.
I hug you back and kiss your forehead.
I think of our choices and see where it's lead.
And as you walk away to get in the plane.
I don't regret any if this pain.
