Serendipity

I've wanted you more and more.
Ever since you walked through the door.
Of my favorite bar down my street.
To get away from the summers heat.
You saw me sitting all alone that day.
And felt a pull to walk my way.
Serendipity was the first word you said.
From then on I was no longer trapped in my head.

You were the one to save me.
The only one to show empathy.
My world was gray from the start.
From the first beat of my heart.
But your world had color all around.
From the sky to the ground.
We met as complete strangers.
And now we're unbreakable lovers.
