Stay Strong

If I start to cry
They might wonder why.
I need to be strong
I wont be here too long.
It might not feel that way
But I'll be out someday.
I just hope it's soon
I can't stay for the next full moon.

I close my eyes real tight
As I try to fight.
The tears that are coming
Because I'm slowly losing.
The battle to stay strong
Because I've been here so long.
That when I think back to the start
It nearly breaks my heart.
