Chapter 28: The Hidden Wilds

We fell into something like a complete void. Continuously falling and I honestly don't know when it would end.

I tried calling out to my friends but I couldn't hear anything except for my own echoes. Wala rin akong makita; my surroundings is completely dark.

It feels like it's a never-ending loop of falling and not hitting anything as if there was nothing to stop us from falling now. Hinintay ko na lang ang mga susunod na mangyayari and closed my eyes. Bahala na kung anong mangyari down there.

That time, wala na akong ibang naisip kung hindi ang mga bagay tungkol sa mga kaibigan ko. Are they experiencing the same thing as me? How about Christa? Where is she? Bakit Hindi ko siya makita kanina? She survived the wave, right? How about the masked mystic knight? Is she okay?

Damn. I shouldn't be thinking about that stranger. She doesn't even know me and I don't know her except for the fact that she makes me feel this way, something I haven't felt for a while now.

I tried to push these thoughts away to the back of my head. Hindi ko siya dapat na naiisip. I should focus more on looking for Christa.

Nasaan ka na ba? Did you know that I looked for you almost everywhere? I spent two weeks looking for you and up till now, I am still looking for you, I am still thinking about you.

I miss you.. I miss your presence here. I miss everything about you. When can I see you again?

While I was still lost in my thoughts, my body finally hits the ground. I got surrounded with grass, preventing me from getting hurt from such an impact.

Dahan dahan akong binuksan ang mga mata ko at muli itong ipinikit upang sanayin muna ang sarili sa biglaang pagbabago ng paligid, from extreme darkness to something like this.

Then, something registered on my virtual screen. Two things. It says 'Floor 2' and below it is the name of the area; 'Hidden Wilds'.

Ilang sandali lang rin ang itinagal ng pagflash nito sa virtual screen ko at muli itong nawala, giving me the full view of my surroundings.

I am in the middle of a grassland, surrounded by tall trees reaching up to the skies I could barely see the other end of it's long trunk. I saw the other players starting to emerge from the void as well and fell on the grass around me too. Most of them were complaining about the long wait, and others were admiring the beauty of our surroundings, especially the beach not too far from our location.

I must admit, it was quite beautiful; a sight for sore eyes, something that would lift our moods up and would at least ease our minds for a while.

Then, I heard someone yelled and called out to someone. Hindi ko alam kung sino ang tinutukoy nito, until they called out my name.

"Steven, move!" sigaw nito, causing me to shift my gaze to the figure of someone falling from the sky. I was too occupied to try and get away from my position kung kaya naman nangyari na ang dapat na mangyari.

I grunted as I could feel my health going down to 80% from the impact. The figure just fell down on top of me, inflicting 80% damage to my health bar.
