Song: There For You- Troye Sivan ft. Martin Garrix
Natalia's POV:
*Dream*
Water splashed at my feet as I stood at the edge, staring out at the horizon and the sun slowing sinking into it. I felt a pair of arms around me. I looked up to see Ryder standing behind me, a smile on his face. I smiled back.
"You know, the color of the water matches the color of your eyes. But, your eyes are prettier." He said. I held his hand and we walked along the shore. I looked up at him and saw a playful look in his eyes.
"What are you thinking of?" I asked him. He smiled devilishly.
"Do you see that cliff over there?" He asked me pointing towards a cliff at the other end of the beach. I nodded.
"Let's see if you can catch me before I reach the top." He said.
"Well you better start running then." I said challengingly. I smirk crossed his face as he started running. I went after him. He was too fast. I was too busy catching up to him to notice a rock sticking out of the sand and tripped.
"Lia!" I heard Ryder say loudly but it was faint at the same time because he was far away. There was a hint of panic and fear in his voice. I got back up and brushed the sand off me. I looked up to see where Ryder had gone. He was no where to be seen.
"Ryder." I called out. I was starting to panic. He was right in front of me. Where did he go?
"Come on Ryder. This isn't funny." I said loudly, hoping this one of his childish games. But there was no response. There wasn't anywhere he could hide either. He just vanished. My heart started racing.
"Ryder." I said, falling to my knees. He was gone. He promised me he wouldn't leave and he was gone.
'We warned you to stay away. Now look what you did. He's gone because of you.' Voices whispered around me.

I immediately got up. I didn't want to hear anymore of what the voices had to say. It took some time for my eyes to adjust to the bright room. The smell of disinfectant filled my nostrils. I was in a bed. A hospital had to be more exact.
"Nicky?" I croacked out. My voice was hoarse and my throat hurt. Nicky was sitting next to my bed with her head buried in her hands. She slowly looked up. Her face was tear stricken and swollen from crying.
"You're finally awake." She said rushing up to me and wrapping her arms around me. The dream came back to me and so did the accident. Ryder.
"Nicky where is Ryder? Please tell me he's okay. Take me to him." I said frantically. Tears sprung up in her eyes and my stomach dropped.
"Nicky, tell me where he is. I want to be with him." I said, urging her to tell me. I felt like throwing up.
"He's alive Natalia." She mustered out. I felt a little relieved.
"But...." she continued. The suspense was killing me.
"But what Nicky? Tell me for fucks sake." I said, slightly annoyed.
"But he's in coma. He lost a lot of blood, just like you did, and he's been unconscious since we got him here. The doctors say there's a possibility he might not make it. And even if he does then there's the possibility of him having permanent memory loss because of the concussion. I wasn't telling you because the doctor told me not to stress you out when you woke up." She said. I was speechless. It took me a minute to digest what she just told me. Ryder was alive. He was in coma. He could still die. And if he regains consciousness then he probably has memory loss. That means he won't remember anything. Or anyone. I didn't know if I should be relieved or worried. The drugs in my system weren't helping either.
