Natalia's POV:

"Wake up." Said a voice. As soon as it said that I felt a splash of ice cold water on my face. I immediately opened my eyes. And I immediately regretted it as well because I was met by a blindingly bright light. I grimaced.

"What was that for?" I asked the man stading in front of me with a bucket in his hand.

"You weren't getting up and boss asked us to wake you up." He said shrugging but I could see the satisfied smirk on his face.

"Where is your little boss?" I growled at him.

"I'm right here." Said Kelly as she walked into the room from behind me. I narrowed my eyes  at her.

"Let us go Kelly. You won't gain anyhing from hurting Ryder." I said to her.

"Has anyone ever told you that desperation isn't a good look on you? I never said I was going to hurt him. After all, who would want to hurt such a pretty face like his. It's you who I want to hurt Natalia. And I'm going to use him to do it." She said.

"How did you know that he's the one I loved?" I asked her.

"I spied on you for months. I followed you everywhere. Well not myself personally but I've watched your every move. The time you want on the road trip, the time you went ice skating with him and even the time you both went out to get breakfast at the diner." She said proudly. How had I been so stupid? She's been planning this revenge for months, maybe even years for all I knew. All of this was happening right under my nose and I didn't know.

"Enough chit chat it's time to get straight to the task at hand." She said.

"Bring both of them outside. Out onto the tracks." She ordered the men. They nodded and two other men started untying me and dragging me outside. I tried to fight them, but they were too strong. There was an uneasy feeling in my stomach and I had the sudden urge to throw up.

I soon as I got outside, I scanned the area. It was an old race track. One that was no longer used. I saw some other men drag Ryder outside.

"Ryder." I screamed at him. As soon as I said his name the man holding me held his knife against my throat. I instantly shut up. Ryder glared at the man, daring him to hurt me more. The man smirked at him and pressed the knife harder. I could feel the blade graze against my skin.

"Hold your knife down. There will be plenty of that later on." Said Kelly with a sly grin.

"What do you want us to do?" Ryder asked her. There was a deathly look in his eyes.

"I don't you two to do anything. Just you pretty boy." She said making her way over to Ryder and placing a manicured finger under his chin. I clenched my jaw. I could see the satisfied look in her eyes as she saw my reaction.

"It's really simple. All you have to do is race against one of my best racers. If you win I let you go. And if you lose, well you know what happens then. You and your little chica both end up dead." She said to Ryder with a wink. Ryder didn't even flinch as she said all of that. He just stared her right in eyes with a hard expression on his face.
