A/N Just in case I were to forget it later, I'm going to ask a couple questions now instead of later.
What are you doing for halloween? If my cousin isn't working, we're going to be trick or treating. My sister is going as Dean, my cousin is going as Sam, and I'm going as Cas, all from Supernatural.
What are you're favorite books? I'm talking about books you buy or get at the library. My favorite books right now are Friends for Life by Andrew Norriss and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
The song is Paralyzed by NF. Enjoy the chapter!
We got back to the house and everyone got out. Tyler and Mark headed inside, while I stayed back, and Josh noticed so he did as well. I looked down at the ground, lost in thought. Josh came over to me. I saw his shoes in my line of sight and looked up at him. He put a hand on my shoulder. "You okay?" He asked. I stared into his brown eyes, shining in the sun. "Is this going to happen a lot?" I asked. "What do you mean?" He asked, not understanding what I was referring to. I ran my hand through my hair before answering. "This whole thing of someone trying to be friends or get close to me, just to get close to you guys." I said. He sighed. "I don't think it's going to happen much. At least, I hope not." He said. I nodded. "C'mon, let's go inside. The guys are waiting for me, and Jenna wanted you for something." He said before leading me inside.
We took off our shoes at the door and Josh hung up his jacket. He headed over to the living room where Tyler and Mark were sitting down, getting ready to play Mario Kart. I went over to the kitchen where Jenna was talking on the phone, and getting things out of the pantry. She moved the phone so the other person couldn't hear her before talking to me. "Go play with boys or something for a bit, but I'll need your help with this in a bit." She said quickly before returning to the person on the phone.
I headed into the living room and sat down, watching the three play. They got really competitive when they played Mario Kart. After a while though, I stopped paying attention. I got lost in thought again. I was thinking of everything and nothing. Until I felt something going down my arm. I looked down but didn't see anything. Then I realized I must have still been bleeding. I got up and headed to the bathroom. I closed the door and looked in the cabinet under the sink. There was a container with bandages and creams and other medical type things. I grabbed a couple band-aids and took off my jacket. I put the bandages on my arm and put my jacket back on. I pulled my shirt up a bit, looking at all the bruises. They stung, and I ached. But you can't really put anything on bruises to make it heal. I pulled my shirt back down before opening the door and going back downstairs.
I went into the kitchen as Jenna put down the phone. She smiled at me. "So, want to help me make something?" She asked me. I shrugged. "What are you making?" I asked. "I'm going to make some bread." She said. I smiled a bit. "My aunt used to make a lot of bread." I said. "I never really helped, only watched. So, where do we start?"
After a while of finding the right ingredients, washing a big enough bowl, and making a huge mess with flour, the dough was finally made and was rising. I looked around the kitchen and laughed. "How did we get flour on the wall?" I asked. Jenna saw it and laughed as well. "I guess we're just talented." She said. "If that's what you want to call it." I said. We grabbed wash cloths and wet them down with cold water before wiping down the counters and wall. We put the rollers in the dishwasher and cleaned up everything else.
When we finished, we headed to the living room and sat down. The boys had gone down to the basement a while ago, so it was just Jenna and I. We sat there in silence for a while. It was a peaceful silence though. After a bit longer, I got up and headed to my room.
I closed the door behind me and laid down on the bed. I looked up at the ceiling, finding patterns in the ridges. I sighed and sat up. I grabbed my bag and took out my homework. I put everything on my desk and sat down. I had all weekend to do it, but I want to finish it then. I grabbed the first page and started.
When I had finished, the sun had almost set completely. The sky was dark, and so was the ground. I got up and headed downstairs. I walked into the kitchen and saw Jenna taking the bread out of the oven. "Where are Josh and Tyler?" I asked. She put the bread on the stove before answering. "Josh is in his room, and Tyler left to take Mark home. He's picking up some pizza on his way back." She said. I nodded. "Well, If you need me, I'll be in my room." I said before going back upstairs.
I closed the door and turned off the light. I grabbed my iPod and turned on music before laying down. After a while, I heard someone open the front door and enter the house, which meant Tyler was home. I didn't feel like going downstairs though. And I really didn't fell like eating. I changed the song and turned the volume up a bit before closing my eyes, falling asleep not too long after that.
I looked around me and saw I was in my old house. I saw my siblings glaring at me, my mom smoking, and my dad coming towards me. Quickly. The blue walls slowly started to fade and they turned into bars, and they started closing in on me. My dad reached me and started yelling at me. Telling me how worthless I am, how everything is my fault. That no one will ever care about me. He started hitting me, kicking me. But I could barely feel it. I started crying, and then screaming.
I opened my eyes and frantically looked around the room. I was back in my room. Tears were pouring from my eyes. I was gasping for a breath. My throat was dry and scratchy. I tried to scream, but no sound came. I rolled over to my side and grabbed my iPod. I looked at the time. '2:23. No one would be awake. I went to the messaging app and went to Tyler contact. I had just gotten the app, with internet you could text people. I started typing, hoping the notification sound from his phone would wake him up.

I typed and typed until I heard a door open and saw Tyler come rushing into my room. He sat on the bed and pulled me into a hug. I started sobbing. Tyler whispered things to me, but I couldn't hear him. He grabbed my hand and put it against his chest. I felt the rise and fall of his breathing. I followed his breathing and eventually calmed down.
When I could breathe properly and wasn't crying as hard, Tyler pulled me into another hug. When I stopped crying, he let go of me and looked me in the eyes. "What happened?" He slowly asked. "I-I had a nightmare." I shakily said. I had never had one before. He put his arms around me and rubbed my back. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked. I closed my eyes. "I was back at my old house. My whole family was there. And they had hatred in their eyes." I took a deep breath before continuing. "The walls turned to bars. They were closing in on me. My dad came to me, and started yelling at me. He started hitting. I could feel it." I pulled away and looked at Tyler. "I thought it was real." Tyler pulled me back into the hug. "It wasn't real, okay? This is real. You're parents aren't going to get you. You don't need to worry. I'll protect you." He said. I nodded. I closed my eyes again, and focused on what Tyler said. I eventually fell asleep in his arms.
