Levi x dying!reader

A/N: WARNING! This shall be sad (and possibly very short) so be prepared. I love Corporal shorty but this needs to happen 😂

Y/n P.O.V~

Darkness. I'm stuck in a never ending void of darkness. But for some reason, I'm not scared. On the contrary I am quite at peace, I feel no pain....it's like I'm floating.

"(Y-....-n)...(y/n)!!!!" My peaceful darkness is suddenly interrupted as I start to hear a voice, an all to familiar voice, shouting my name.

The world is starting to fade back into sight and my senses are being returned. I know feel a hand on my face and my body is being cradled.

Everything that's happened comes rushing back to me all at once and the whole situation is now making sense. It was our last mission....this was the mission where we would wipe of the Titan race for good.

Everything was going well until a large, hot, hand encased my body. The excruciating pain of my bones being crushed and snapped like twigs....the blood curdling screams...descending from the air and landing on the ground, gasping for air like a fish out of water

. Seeing as I now have my vision back I look around. I see the Titans body laying lifelessly on the ground, torn to absolute shreds, and as I look to see who is holding me my heart skips a beat. The captain, aka my lifelong love.

It was a strange sight indeed, for I have never seen this man cry for the many long years I have know him. "L-levi?" I whispered the best I could. "I'm right here Hun" he spoke just as softly, stroking my cheek affectionately.

"Was...was our mission a success? Did I d-do good?" The more I talked the more the world once again faded. "Yes...we did it (y/n)...it's all over. You fought so bravely, well done." His words were soothing and it made me feel at ease.

"I'm glad...Levi? Can I tell you something?" I asked softly, beginning to close my eyes. "Anything." He responded. "I-I love you, I always have I've just been to shy to tell you, I was scared of rejection but I know this is my last chance to tell you so I'll die happy if you simply just know."

It was getting extremely hard to talk and I was getting very drowsy but I was determined to get this all out to him. "Oh (y/n)...I wish you would have told me sooner...I love you too, with all of my heart. I love you more than you will ever know."

He was speaking in an very uncharacteristically gentle voice. "That makes me so happy to hear. But I want you to promise me one thing...be strong. Be strong for me and live....goodbye Levi...I love you.." And with that everything faded black, and I wasn't coming back this time.

Levi's P.O.V~

This pain....it's nothing I've ever felt before. I thought I have desensitised myself to the pain of grief but I was obviously wrong.

Tears I didn't know I still had were streaming down my face. I loved her...I really did. Every soldier has already left so I'm all alone, cradling her lifeless body. "I love you too (y/n), and I promise....I will live and be strong....for you." I picked up her body and began to walk back to HQ

*Time skip because author-chan is extremely lazy....*

I decided to have a proper burial for her, it was just me and a few other recruits but I deemed it necessary. It didn't last long, just enough time for everyone to say a proper goodbye.

Everyone had lest and I was now alone on my knees in front of her stone. "You did so well (y/n)....I love you." And with that I walked away, I will keep my promise to her, and I will be strong, I will live my life with as much happiness as I can manage, because I know, that's exactly what she would want.
