I looked in the mirror seeing my very pale color. What happened to me was a total mess. I looked pathetic and most of all, wasted.

Looked at the wall clock and it's almost 7am.

I get my kikay kit out of my bag and looked for my lip gloss. I put some on my lips and managed to smile. Walang bago. Pangit pa din.

Suddenly the door opens.

"You ready to go? Okay na lahat sa nurse station. Even the bills were okay. Your card pays all of it so wala ka nang iisipin pa."

Buti naman. Kasi ayokong mag-pay ng cash.

"Thanks." I smiled. Alam kong kahit konti, napangiti ako nung balitang yun.

The guy smiled back to me. Halatang walang tulog pero ang gwapo pa din. "Shall we?"

He opened the door wide and let me pass first.

We were walking towards the exit of the hospital.

Ang effort naman masyado ng lalaking 'to. I appreciate it pero sobra naman na ata yung tulong niya. Naaabuso ko na.

When we exited, he walked towards parking going to an SUV. It wasn't the SUV I saw last night as far as I can remember. Maybe that was his dad's and this was his. I stopped walking.

"Anong name mo pala?"

He looked at me, puzzled.

Weird ba yung tanong ko? Random ba?

"Oh, sorry." Tumawa siya.

Perfect white teeth. Bite my lip.

Wait, what?! Mon, umayos ka.

"...Sorry. I'm Ivan. Kanina pa kita kinakausap sa ospital, hindi man lang pala ako nakapagpakilala. Nice to meet you, Miss Alfante."

Then he handed me his right hand. I shook it.

Hmm, very formal.

"My pleasure." All pleasure. Ang gwapo niyan eh. "Please call me Mia."

"Okay, Armia? Mia is to short eh." He smiles again. Happy and gay masyado.

I smiled back. "Uhm, maybe Ivan you don't need to drop me off. I can manage. What happened last night won't keep me from taking a cab. Isa pa, umaga naman. And I believe you need to go home and rest. You shouldn't be here wasting time."

Naks! Pa-self pity! If I know kinikilig ka kahit konti. Shut up!

"No, Armia! I'm fine. Don't worry about me. I can drop you off your house just to make sure you're home safe. Sayang naman yung ineffort ko na pagbabantay sayo in case ma-double whammy ka ng taxi incident today." He laughed. "Kidding." Smiled. Sobrang saya naman nito.

"Knock on woods." I smiled back.

"Too tired ka na ba? I mean, can I ask you for breakfast before going home? Para pag-uwi mo pahinga ka nalang."

Sa bagay, gutom na ako. I shrugged.

"I insist. Shall we?"

I smiled for a yes. Kesa mag-away na naman kami ng alter ego ko dahil feeling ko pati siya gutom na din.

He opens the door for me and helped me get up.

He drives and parked in front a coffee shop.

We go inside and he ordered coffee. I preferred hot choco and cinnamon rolls. Gutom talaga ako.
