Chapter 39: Tobias

She said yes! YAY! I was nervous all day that she would say no, luckily I had nothing to worry about. I kiss her for a long time until I hear someone clear their throat behind me. We both turn, in sync, and see the gang standing there.

"Stalk much?" we say at the same time. We smile.

"Jinx!" we say at the same time again. She furrows her eyebrows then kisses me when she pulls back she say "Jinx, I win," so softly only I could here it.

"This is awkward!" The gang scream all together. We roll our eyes and break apart. My arm, on instinct, is across her shoulders and her head leans on my shoulder. I smile.

"Do you guys need something?" I ask the gang, who is just standing there stating at us.

"Want to go to Navy Pier this weekend?" Zeke asks and I look at Tris and she nods her head.

"I guess we'll be coming, when will we meet up?" I ask.

"Saturday morning, 11:30?" Uriah asks, we all basically say that that time works.

"Did you need anything else?" Tris asks.

"No not really, unless you guys want to go to the park and play baseball!" Lynn says and we all shrug having nothing better to do. Tris and I take Will and Chris, while Uriah and Marlene take Zeke, Shauna , and Lynn.

It only takes about ten minutes to get to the park and when we get there, Lynn pulls out the ball and a few mits and bats. Her father owns a sports store, so no one questions where she got them.

"Tris and Four are captains!" Marlene announces. They all line up and I roll my eyes.

"You can go first," Tris says to me and I shrug.

"Zeke," (4)

"Will," (4)

"Uriah," (6)

"Marlene," (4)

"Shauna," (6)

"Christina," (4)

"Anyone have a coin?" I ask and Uriah hands me one. "Heads or tails babe?" I ask Tris and she thinks for a second.

"Tails," she says shrugging I flip it and my team wins.

"We'll bat first," I say and Tris just nods and her team puts on their mits. They go out in the 'field', more of just an open area.

Tris plays third, Uriah is pitching, Lynn is catching, Shauna is first, there is no one at second base so Shauna and Tris will have to cover.

I go up to bat 4th, so the bases will possibly be loaded when I hit, a home run most likely. Zeke, Will, Mar, Me, then Christina, is the order of the batting. It goes well, then it is my turn, bases are loaded, now is my chance.

I get up to bat and Uriah flings the ball at me, I swing with all my force and it goes flying. I start running and so do all of my team mates. I am about to touch first when I see the ball land perfectly in Tris' mit, everyone gets out because they didn't get back to their base fast enough.

My team goes to outfield and the game goes on, and eventually we decide it is a tie ad call it a night. Tris and I drive the others home then take ourselves home, which currently is at her house.

"Tobias, that was soo sweet, how you asked me to the dance!" Tris says smiling.

"Well I only do the best for my girl," I say kissing her on the mouth. Sparks fly like they do every time, but too quickly they disappear as we pull apart.

We go to the living room, sit down on the coach, and Tris snuggles into my side as I play with her long blonde hair.

"Let's watch a movie," she says.

"Okay, what do you want to watch?" I ask and she goes into deep thought.

"I don't know, something scary," she says.

"Oh, how about Paranormal Activity!" I say, I love that movie.

"Okay," she says and clicks on it on Netflix. During the whole movie Tris' head is buried in my shirt. When it is over she pulls back.

"Well, I still don't like scary movies!" she exclaims with a smile on her face. I chuckle.

"Then why did you want to watch one?"

"So I could face my fear, but I think I am more scared now than I was before!" she laughs at herself.

It is already past eleven so we go to bed, and once again I fall asleep with her in my arms.
