Chapter 43: Tris

I get to the lunch table and sit next to Toby. Smirking I look at everyone.

"Zombies or Unicorns?"

"Unicorns!" The girls and Zeke shout as the boys shout, "Zombies!" There is a long pause before arguing breaks out. I turn to Tobias.

"What time are you picking me up for the dance?" I ask him, remembering that it is tonight.

"It starts at like seven so probably six thirty?" he asks.

"Sure, sounds good," then I notice the slice of dauntless cake on his tray. I smile sweetly and lean in for a kiss, our lips meet and I take a fork full of cake. Tobias pulls back realizing what I just did. I open my mouth to eat it but at last second he bumps my elbow and cake goes all over my face.

I gasp.

"Don't steal my cake," he says smirking kissing my cheek.

"I hate you," I scowl, but after a while I smile too.

"Trissy," I hear Uriah say.

"Two things, one never call me Trissy. Two, what?" I ask.

"Christina wants you," he says pointing at Christina.

"Tris, I am coming over after school so we can get ready for the dance."

"Okay," say then the bell rings, sending us to fourth period. {A/N I forgot the previous schedule again, if someone knows what chapter it is in tell me please.}

-----------TIME LAPSE-----------

The day went by quickly and before I knew it Christina and I were getting my car to go her ready for the dance. We stopped at her house first so she could get her dress.

Marlene was going to meet us at my house to get ready because she drove to school. We pull into my drive and see Marlene waiting on the front step.

"Hey," I say.

"Hey," she smiles and I unlock the door and we walk inside.

First we all put our dresses on. Marlene's is a pink sweetheart dress that goes just past the knees. Christina's is and ombré dark blue dress that suits her nicely. Although mine is simple it is still pretty.

Then we all curl our hair into loose ringlets and apply pretty normal makeup. Just as we finish up, the door bell rings. The boys are here, perfect timing.

Tonight will be amazing, knock on wood.
