Chapter 56: Tris (Saturday Oct. 18)

Hey everyone, some people might be wondering about the date in the chapter title I just wanted to let you guys know that it is the data in the book. I kept forgetting the day and yeah sorry if confused you. Now on with the update.

I woke up the next morning with silly string being sprayed in my face. I frowned. I buried my face in my pillow and groaned. I heard laughter and then feet running out of the room.

I eventually gathered the strength to get out of bed. There was silly string everywhere. So I went to the bathroom to get it out of my hair on my way to the bathroom I grabbed my phone and looked at the time 12:40.

"Crap." My mom was going to kill me, she usually wants me home for lunch and that when I realized that there were 3 missed calls from her. Oops.

I dialed her number and put her on speaker as I proceeded to comb the silly string from my hair. She picked up on the third ring.

"Where have you been young lady?!" She exclaimed.

"Mom, calm down. I just slept over at Zeke's house and over slept. I didn't mean to."

She let out a deep breath. "It's okay I was just a bit worried something had happened. Be home by two okay?"

"Okay. Love you mom," I said blowing a kiss towards my phone then hanging up. Then Tobias walked into the bathroom fully dressed. I had forgot about him. That's a first.

"Hey babe," I said giving him a soft kiss on the lips.

"Hey, do we need to be home soon?" He asked.

"Two o'clock," I said throwing my hair into a messy bun.

"Want to leave now and go get some lunch?" He asked wrapping his arms around my waist nudging his head into my neck. I smiled at his adorableness.

"Yeah, I want food," I said walking towards the door to the bedroom and down the stairs. We walked straight to the door.

"BYE GUYS!" I said getting a chorus of good-byes back and with that we got into the car. "Where are we gonna eat?"

"The Dauntless Diner sound alright?" He asked starting the car and getting buckled.

"Sounds awesome," the thought of their cake making my mouth water. The rest of the car ride was in a comfortable silence with the occasional small talk.

"We're here!" I say as he pulls into the parking lot and pulls into a parking spot. He chuckles and opens my door for me.

"Why thank you," I say giving him a small kiss on the cheek.

We walked into the diner and took a seat at a booth by the window that had a clear view of the park across the street. We engage in small meaningless talk until the waitress comes over. I look over at her and whatever smile was on my face was gone.

Nita.

"What can I get you today?" She asked sweetly looking at Tobias.

"I'll have a cheeseburger and fries with a cherry coke," I say getting her attention. She glares at me and Tobias gets uncomfortable. She scribbles my order down on her notepad. Then Tobias gets the same thing.

A few minutes later she comes over with our drinks and 'accidentally' spills it on Toby's lap.

"Oh my gosh! I'm sooo sorry!" She says and automatically starts to dry it up with his towel.

Need I remind you it's in his lap.

"I'm fine," he says pushing her off of him. "And I don't know why you aren't taking the hint. I. Don't. Like. You. And I never will so stop trying. I love Tris. Back off." Nita's face turned bright red with anger.

"Fine have fun with your slut bag." she said and once again accidentally spilled a pop, except this time it was on my lap.

"I refuse to stoop to your level." I said taking deep breaths to steady my anger. I stooped to Shaylee's level once and I would not stoop any lower.

"Whatever." she said then mumbled, "bitch" under her breath. And then something snapped inside me.

"You know what? Shut the fuck up. Just fucking shut up! You want to see a bitch go look in the mirror. I don't try to ruin relationships, I don't sleep around, you do. If you hate your life then you should try being nicer! Maybe more polite then maybe then maybe you could find someone who actually likes you. Forget our damn order and go to your next table." I screamed at a stunned Nita.

Angrily I grabbed Tobias' hand and dragged him to the car still very angry that I let her get to me right after I said I wouldn't. He unlocked the car and opened my door. I got in and closed it.

Hey guys I'm back! Sorry for the long wait for the update! Also sorry for the stronger language. I am on Winter Break so I should update more often! Also I'm sorry for any spelling errors I will edit it later.
