Joe had arranged the date for the following day with Demi. It was summer so neither of them had much planned. But Nick was free too. They were both getting themselves ready for the date, Nick wanting to look presentable. He was the one picking her up and dropping her off again. Joe knocked on Nick's door before he entered and sat down on the bed.

"Where are you taking her then?"

"I was gonna take her to see a film then go for dinner somewhere," Joe answered. "I don't normally take girls out to the cinema on the first date..."

"Why? Cuz you can't fuck them as easy?" Nick cut him off teasing him.

"No," Joe scoffed making Nick laugh. "I just don't think you can talk as much if you're in a theater but we did plenty of chatting yesterday." Joe shrugged his shoulders.

"You seem to be treating this date differently then any other date I've seen you go on." Nick admitted.

"And?"

"It's just nice to see," Nick stated and Joe rolled his eyes. "But you know, Demi is a bit of a player herself."

"Really? She doesn't come across as that kind of person."

"I wouldn't say player, she's just slept with a couple of guys in our grade and had nothing attached."

"If she wanted that from me, then she wouldn't have agreed to a date with me. If she wants sex from me, though, she can have it." Joe grinned and Nick rolled his eyes this time.

"I'd rather you go back to just taking her out. I think we're all ready to see you have a girlfriend rather than just fucking around."

"Yeah, yeah," Joe mumbled. "Are you nearly done?"

"Yep, let me just put some cologne on." Nick replied.

The two boys managed to sneak out of the house without their mother seeing that they were dressed smart. Like they were going on a date.

Demi too was in her room waiting to be picked up. She had no idea how Joe was going to get around showing up. She knew her parents would notice he was that little bit older. They could pick up on a lot of things. She insisted that she would meet him at the location but her parents too insisted that they saw the boy before she went out with him. She was surprised they hadn't integrated her about him yet.

"Are you ready sweetie?" Dianna inquired and Demi nodded her head gently.

"Yep." Demi spoke softly following her mother out of the room.

"He isn't here yet but at least you're ready," Dianna stated. "Is there anything we should know about this boy?"

"Nope, not really." Demi replied following her downstairs into the large hallway. It was clear that they were a wealthy family. Her step father had earned it all himself from his career. She could remember a time where they weren't so well off but then Eddie's career picked up when he produced someone who was very popular. They soon moved into this house and Demi was spoilt. Even before then, they were trying to model her into what they thought was the 'perfect daughter'.

"Are you sure?" Dianna raised her eyebrow but Demi shook her head about to speak when the doorbell rung and Dianna was the one who opened the door. Demi's eyes widened slightly when she saw Nick stood there but it didn't take long for her to make the connection nodding her head at Nick to show she understood.

"Hello mam, my name is Nick Jonas." Nick greeted putting his hand out for her to shake and Demi was relieved when she saw an impressed expression on her mom's face.

"Hello Nick, it's nice to meet you. I hope your intentions are good with my daughter." Dianna stated.

"Yes they are." Nick assured her giving Demi a smile.

"Good, have her back by ten and have a good time both of you." Dianna praised.

"Dad doesn't want to meet him?"

"I'm sure Nicholas has time for a quick chat when you get home," Dianna spoke and Demi had to try desperately not to burst out laughing when she saw the look of disgust on Nick's face at her using his full name. "Is everything okay Demetria?"

"Yes mom, I'll see you later." She gave her mom a quick hug before joining hands with Nick heading down the path towards the car. She found herself looking around for Joe.
