"Are you sure you're not mad?" Nick questioned kind of surprised. He expected a bit of a lecture. He knew they'd never kick him out just for getting a girl pregnant but he expected just a bit more than what they had given to him.

"Being mad isn't going to make the baby go away or anything. We're a bit disappointed but as long as you're going to be supportive we have nothing to worry about." Denise assured them.

"Do your parents know Demi?" Paul inquired.

"Not yet but I guess we'll tell them next." Demi breathed.

"Do you think they're going to be okay with it?"

"No probably not, my parents are quite strict. I'm just rebellious." Demi admitted.

"You think you'll still have a place with them afterwards." Denise asked seriously and Demi sighed shrugging her shoulders.

"I honestly don't know, I know they aren't going to be happy about it but I don't know whether they'd kick me out or anything." Demi admitted but she cracked a small smile when Nick rubbed her arm gently. Nick had been a close friend of hers for a while now and she could only see them getting closer now what was happening.

"We have a spare room here if you need it but we'll do all we can to make sure that you can still stay at home." Denise assured her.

"Thank you." Demi breathed.

"You should tell them sooner rather than later but I'm sure everything will be okay." Paul praised and Demi took in a deep breath. It was only now she was realizing that she had to tell her parents. That they had to know she was pregnant. She was happy about the baby and becoming a mom even if she was only sixteen seventeen when the baby came. She just didn't know what her parents were going to say about it all. Demi found herself entering the living room where Joe was burying her head into his chest as Nick followed. Joe wrapped his arms back around her holding her close to his chest as he felt his shirt get slightly wet.

"It's going to be okay." He whispered in her ear.

They had to pull away as Denise and Paul came through and Nick could see how much it hurt both of them.

It was hard for Joe to let Demi go not long later. He could see how scared she was of telling her parents about the baby, they wouldn't even know the whole story. He only felt comfortable enough to let her go because Nick was going with her and they were good friends. Nick pulled up outside Demi's house and turned to her.

"They both in?" Demi nodded her head gently.

"Dad has Wednesday afternoons off." Demi spoke in a slight whisper.

"Let's just get this done so you can stop stressing out about it. It's not good for the baby." Nick stated.

"I haven't even had a scan yet, how are they going to work?"

"Maybe I come with you but Joe meets us at the hospital and then you two can go to the appointment and I just bring you back home?" Nick suggested Demi nodding her head gently.

"Okay, if my mom doesn't want to come to the appointments. I can see her wanting to do that if they're supportive." Demi stated.

"Then we'll work it out when the time comes, okay?" Demi nodded her head again as they both got out of the car. Demi found herself gripping onto his hand for comfort.

"Thanks for this Nick, it means a lot to us." Demi spoke.

"I can't see my brother go to jail and I can see how happy you two are together. I just wish people didn't care so much about age gaps." Nick admitted as they made their way up the path.

"I think it's mainly because of how young I am." Demi replied and she opened the door the two of them entering the house. They had to search a bit but they found Dianna and Eddie in the garden enjoying a drink in the sun. They exited the patio doors greeting them both as they sat down with them.

"What are you kids doing here?" Dianna inquired. "Not that it's not nice to see you both."

"I have something to tell you, well, we do." Demi admitted.

"What is it Demetria?" Eddie inquired and Demi couldn't help but feel a bit intimidated but she took in a deep breath feeling Nick's hand on her back to comfort her slightly.

"I'm pregnant, we're having a baby." Demi revealed to them wanting to close her eyes so she didn't have to see their reactions.

"You're too young to be parents." Dianna urged.

"I know we're young and stuff but we want to try and do this for ourselves. Nick is gonna get a job and I'm still going to graduate, we want this."

"Rubbish, you can't." Eddie stated.

"Then what am I supposed to do?!" Demi stressed slightly. "I'm not aborting my baby and I can't just hand him or her to someone else. This is my baby, mine and... Nick's baby." She took in a deep breath, she was aware she had nearly said Joe's name but she could feel her protection grow towards her child.

"Then we'll raise the baby, you can be around him or her all you want but as it's big sister." Dianna stated looking at her daughter.
