"You can do that," Nick stated seeing the shock on Demi's face even though he could tell she was shocked. He must admit, he didn't expect something like that to come out of their mouths. "That baby is mine and Demi's, not yours, you can't force us to give the baby to anyone."

"She's just sixteen, we can do what we like with her and your just a dad." Eddie replied.

"Just a dad?! Well that makes you just a dad to Demi then doesn't it and our baby which you want to raise." Nick snapped slightly not wanting to give a bad impression but he couldn't keep his anger in. The baby may not be actually his but it was still his niece or nephew and he cared about them as well as his brother and his girlfriend.

"You do not speak to us in that way, get off our property before we call the police." Dianna stated and Nick rolled his eyes standing up onto his feet again.

"I'm not letting you do this." Nick stated before heading towards the back gate but he wasn't surprised when Demi ran after him standing in front of him.

"Thanks Nick, can you tell Joe what's going on." Nick took in a deep breath to calm himself down before nodding his head.

"Of course, I'll get him to call you." Nick replied.

"Demetria come!" She heard her mother call.

"I swear sometimes they treat me like a dog." Demi mumbled but she leaned up kissing his cheek gently before she ran back around the house and Nick headed back towards the car.

Nick pulled up back outside his house parking his parent's car in the driveway locking it before wandering into the house. She could smell dinner cooking ready for them. He sighed as he entered the living room seeing Joe there clearly impatient to see him.

"What did they say?" He questioned straight away and Nick slumped down on the couch next to him.

"Demi's parents want to raise the baby themselves." Nick breathed.

"They can't do that."

"They can as long as Demi agrees to it and she didn't really say her view on it. I kinda lost it a bit," Nick admitted. "But I'm sure she'll stand up to them and everything will be fine." Joe sighed.

"Is everything okay? How did Demi's parents take it?" Denise questioned.

"Demi's parents want to raise the baby, they say we're too young to be parents." Nick explained sighing at the end.

"Nonsense!" Denise exclaimed. "They can't do that, it's your baby too."

"Well, apparently I'm just a dad." Nick muttered rolling his eyes and he felt Joe get a bit tense too. He couldn't imagine how hard all this must be for him.

"She's sixteen, they can tell her to do stuff like that, can't they?" Joe questioned.

"Not legally but if she's living under their roof then they kind of can but that doesn't mean she can't live elsewhere like here. Get the girl here Nick." Denise demanded.

"Are you sure mom?" Nick questioned and Denise nodded her head.

"Of course! You're both being serious about this so we are too, get her here and maybe her parents will realize how unfair they are being." Denise demanded.

"I'll go call her," Joe demanded too getting up looking over at his mother who raised her eyebrow at him. "I mean, I thought Nick could help you clear the spare bedroom."

"I don't have any minutes left on my phone." Nick added and Denise nodded her head.

"That's okay, come on then Nick." Denise encouraged and Nick left with Denise after giving his brother a look. Joe sat down after taking his phone out of his pocket but sighed, he wished things could be different. He scrolled to his contacts calling Demi and it didn't take her long to pick up.

"What are we gonna do?" Demi answered.

"You're coming here to live with us baby girl, we're gonna get you out of there." Joe demanded.

"Are you sure it's okay with your parents?" She questioned.

"Mom pretty much forced it on Nick," Joe chuckled. "Pack a bag and get a cab over here, I'll pay for it."

"God you have a great family." Demi breathed and he could hear her starting to pack some bags up.

"I just wish we didn't have to hide."

"I know but my parents are still capable of charging you even if I'm not living with them. It won't be long, we'll figure something out." Demi assured him.

"It will be easier to spend some time together when you live here." Joe grinned and she laughed.

"I know and I look forward to it. I'll see you soon okay." Joe nodded his head even though she couldn't see him.

"Okay, I'll see you when you get here." Joe agreed and they both hung up Joe able to relax against the couch knowing things were starting to look up a little bit.
