Eleven

Joe and Demi decided that they would go for a walk. They didn't need to do much to have a good time. They just wanted one another and that was enough for both of them. They were heading towards the park so they could walk through there.on their travels. They were enjoying themselves whilst they could. Joe would be going back to college soon enough and Demi back to school for her final year.

"I never knew you had an older brother too, Nick has never mentioned him before." Demi admitted.

"Nick and Kevin don't get on as well as me and Nick do or me and Kev, it's just how it is." Joe shrugged his shoulders.

"I suppose the age gap might have something to do with it, you're the middle one so you naturally get on with them both." Demi answered.

"Maybe," Joe agreed. "What about you? Do you have any siblings?" Demi sighed shaking her head.

"No and it's all I ever wanted when I was younger. Eddie isn't my real dad, he's my step dad. My real dad ran out on me and my mum when I was three. Chose drugs and alcohol instead of his wife and daughter, I'm pretty sure he's in jail somewhere now. " Demi explained.

"And doesn't he want kids of his own with your mom?"

"It's not that, he's not able to have any kids. His body isn't working that way. Mom and dad have been on a waiting list for adoption for five years now but haven't gotten anywhere with it. I don't see what's wrong with my parents, why somebody isn't giving them a baby." Demi spoke and Joe could see how much she wanted it for her parents. He could see how much it meant to her.

"What does your mom do? I know what your dad does." Joe questioned.

"My mom doesn't work, she looks after the house. Dad is successful enough that she doesn't need to work but she does volunteer a lot but she'd put all that down if they got a baby, she just wants to be a mom again and Eddie is desperate to raise a baby who always looked up at him as his father. He didn't come into my life until I was six so I did call him Eddie for a while. He just wants that experience of having a baby." Demi stated.

"Maybe it will still happen for them? They're not too old or anything, they should chase it up." Joe encouraged.

"Yeah, I've said they should before but they said it would happen if it did," Demi shrugged her shoulders and Joe squeezed her hand gently. "I bet your parents had their hands full with you three boys though." Joe laughed.

"Mom was desperate for a girl by the time I was born. You should have seen her reaction when Kev and Dani found out they were having a girl." Joe chuckled.

"You didn't spend long with Demi then?" Nick questioned as he sat down next to his brother on the couch after getting them both a drink. They both begun to play the game which was loaded up, Joe had done it whilst Nick got the drinks.

"Yeah, she said she had to go but she'd call later on but that was four hours ago, I don't know whether to give her a call and make sure everything is okay." Joe admitted.

"There's no harm in checking whether our girlfriend is okay." Nick teased and Joe rolled her eyes.

"You're only her boyfriend when you're around her parents and you're only doing that so her parents don't kill her." Joe urged.

"You ever gonna tell them?" Nick questioned.

"Maybe the day before the wedding," Joe smirked and Nick laughed. "We spoke about it today, Demi wants to wait a bit longer but she wants to soon."

"I'm still surprised you have kept this relationship so long, you must really like her," Nick stated glancing at him seeing his cheeks turning red. "I never thought I'd see my player brother blushing!" Nick teased and Joe just nudged him.

"Shut up, yeah, I do like her. I see her more than just someone I want to fuck." Joe answered.

"That's always nice to know." Nick teased again and Joe rolled his eyes at him but he paused the game when the doorbell echoed throughout the house. He was the one who got up and answered the door. A smile twitched at the corner of his lips when he saw Demi.

"Hey come in." Joe greeted kissing her as she stepped in.

"Sorry I didn't call to tell you I was coming, I need to talk to you." Demi stated.

"Come on." He encouraged and she followed him into the living room glancing at Nick on the couch.

"Alone please?" Demi begged slightly and Joe was becoming more and more concerned.

"Anything you can say in front of me surely you can say in front of one of your close friends too?" Joe questioned and Demi sighed.

"Fine, Nick should know this too anyway," Demi took in a deep breath. "I'm pregnant." Demi's eyes were fixed on Joe's even though she knew Nick had left the room.
