Joe and Demi couldn't help but smile. They never thought of the option that there could be more than one baby, it had never crossed their minds. It had come as a complete surprise but they couldn't help but be excited about the prospect of bringing home two babies rather than the one they were expecting.

"Is that okay?"

"Well, we can't send one back." Joe joked and they laughed.

"It's a surprise but I'm happy." Demi admitted on the verge of crying and Joe just squeezed her hand.

"Are they looking okay?" Joe inquired.

"Yes, everything is looking good up to now so Demi, keep doing what you're doing. We'll be able to see more when you come back at twelve weeks." She stated.

"Good." Demi concluded taking the tissue from her so she could wipe her stomach gently.

"You should start showing earlier too so make sure that you prepare for that." Demi giggled nodding her head allowing Joe to help her off the tall bed back onto her feet.

"We'll go get you some maternity clothes sooner rather than later." Joe answered smiling as she kissed his cheek.

"I'll just go get you some pictures whilst you get changed again." They both agreed.

"I can't believe we're having two babies, I wasn't expecting that." Demi admitted taking her clothes from the back of a chair heading behind the screen.

"I know, everyone else is going to be surprised too, are you going to tell your parents?" Joe questioned.

"I suppose I better and I'd better keep trying to see whether they want to be apart of their lives."

"You don't need to keep trying, they know where you are if they want you. It's on them whether they want anything from you." Joe urged and Demi smiled even though he couldn't see her.

"I guess you're right but I might still drop a picture by. I'm happier living with you and your parents and Nick which makes it better for the babies." Demi answered putting her shirt on pulling it down her torso before she emerged back from the screen.

"I'm glad you're happier than before." Joe stated pecking her lips gently.

"I just wish my parents weren't so judgmental, then we wouldn't have a problem and everyone could know the truth."

"We'll figure something out, a way to tell everyone." Joe promised pecking her lips again making her smile.

Joe and Demi left the office once they had pictures of their two babies. They were confused to see Nick wasn't around though, they were eager to tell him the good news. Joe took out his phone seeing he had a text from Nick.

"He's waiting outside for some reason." Joe replied but they stuck around making their appointment for next time but then they headed outside to see Nick sat on a bench. They wandered over and Nick caught them before they got to him.

"What are you doing out here."

"It felt weird being sat in there with a bunch of pregnant women." He admitted and they couldn't help but laugh.

"I'm a pregnant woman, you know?" Demi teased.

"Yeah, but you're one of my best friends," He answered. "How are things then?" They didn't say anything but Demi handed him a picture and he looked down at it. "I love how you think I know what this means." They laughed.

"It's twins." Joe revealed to his younger brother and it didn't take long for a smile to creep along Nick's face.

"Really?" He questioned and they both nodded their heads at the same time. "How have you managed that." They all laughed.

"We don't know but congrats man, you're having twins for now." Joe patted him on the back making him chuckle.

"You're just lucky I love you both," Nick declared. "Come on, I wanna tell the world I'm having twins." Joe rolled his eyes but he followed his brother and girlfriend back towards the car Demi staying back reaching for his hand when he caught up with her.

"I love you." She breathed and he leaned down kissing her gently Demi kissing him back before they both pulled away.

"And I love you, I suppose." He replied smirking but he laughed when she smacked his chest.

"You better get all of the jokes out before my hormones come and hit you in the face." She replied and he laughed as they got to the car Demi climbing in the back with Nick.

"I'd say we could go get lunch sometime to celebrate but mom is expecting us home very soon so she can hear the news." Nick chuckled again and they laughed.

"Yeah, we should get home if we don't want to get into trouble." Joe replied as he pulled out of the parking spot heading towards the exit and then towards home.
