"It's none of their business remember?" Nick encouraged as they walked towards their lockers but Demi couldn't help but stare at the ground as they walked. She didn't like the attention from people that weren't even in her grade or classes. She loved her two babies a lot and now she felt like she had to constantly protect them from any harm. She felt like she needed Joe even though she knew he'd be in his interview by now attempting to be able to stay with them and not have to miss anything.

"I know but I still don't like all the stares." Demi mumbled relieved when they entered an empty corridor but she knew it would be going around school for at least a couple more weeks.

"They've bound to spread rumors and stuff, you're the first one in our grade. Note how I said first because I know they'll be more." Nick stated and Demi laughed.

"We are, you mean. These babies are yours remember." Demi teased and Nick chuckled.

"For now," He replied. "I just don't know what to tell Selena when she hears the news."

"The truth, if you want. I know we want a little people to know the truth as possible but if it's going to affect your life then you have the right to tell the truth." Demi replied.

"As long as that's okay with you." Nick stated and she nodded her head gently.

"You don't have much time to think about it because she's on her way over." Demi replied and Nick looked over seeing she was right.

"Just what I wanted." Nick mumbled but Demi couldn't say anything in response until Selena came over.

"What is going on? You haven't been dating long and you're already having a baby together?!" Selena whisper yelled but Nick grabbed hold of their hands dragging them both into an empty classroom so they could talk and not have to worry about anyone overhearing.

"We're not dating." Nick stated.

"The babies aren't Nick's" Demi added and they laughed slightly as Selena let out a breath of relief.

"Then what the fuck is going on." Nick glanced at Demi who nodded her head gently.

"Joe and Demi are dating and the babies are his. They're having twins," Nick begun to explain. "Because Joe is twenty now and Demi is a minor he could get charged for rape and Demi thinks her parents would get him done for it."

"Oh! I guess that all makes sense." She replied.

"Yes so you guys are free to date again, don't let me and Joe stop you." Demi praised pushing Nick slightly towards her.

"Demi!" Nick whined and she laughed.

______

Joe smiled as he sent Demi and Nick both a text but he didn't know when either of them would see it. He felt a whole weight lift off his shoulders, he got the job. He could be around for the whole pregnancy and when the babies were here too. He could bring an income in, even if it was just something small. He headed home knowing both his parents would be there and he could tell them the good news. He knew they would be happy to have him around all the time again, even if it wasn't a job his father really want him to have.

"It's only me!" He called jumping his keys on the side leaving his bag hung up in the hall as he entered the living room.

"Hey, where did you go?" Denise questioned. "Why are you all dressed up?"

"I went to an interview." Joe admitted as he sat in an armchair.

"You didn't tell us about an interview! Where was it?" Paul questioned.

"I didn't tell you because I didn't want you to get your hopes up that I'd be staying around but I am. I got the job." Joe revealed a smile on his face and he laughed as Denise cheered interrupting her husband who instantly congratulated him.

"Give me a hug." Denise demanded and Joe smiled as he got up giving her a hug and he shared a quick one with Paul.

"Where is it" Paul asked slightly nervous to learn the answer.

"A tattoo shop, I'll be an intern but I can get into it straight away because of the year I've already done at college. I don't have to just do the cleaning and that's why they picked me, because they didn't have to teach me from the basics."

"Joe..." Paul trailed off but he shook his head.

"This is what I want to do dad. It might not seem like a real job to you but it is to me and it's what I've wanted to do for a while now." Joe expressed to him.

"He's right Paul, he has known for a fair few years now and he has such a talent in drawing, it seems a waste to throw away that talent. He'll still be bringing in an income for any future family and they'll learn how to get by on it like we did when we first had a home and had Joe." Denise tried to encourage her husband and he sighed looking at his son.

"You know I just want what's best for you, right?" Joe nodded his head.

"I know but this is really what I want to do."

"Okay then," Paul stated shaking his head at them as they both cheered. "As long as you promise me, you won't come back with loads of tattoos!"

"I promise." Joe chuckled giving them both a hug again.
