"Have you always lived here?" Demi questioned after a while on silence but Joe kept his arm around her. It helped Demi to calm down completely, having his touch. She just wished they didn't have to hide their relationship but they couldn't risk anyone knowing, it's not just Demi's parents that might call the cops.
"No, it was my grandparent's house and when they moved into a care home they asked us to look after it. When they died, mom and dad sold our home and we just stayed in here." Joe explained.
"It's a nice home, big." Demi laughed slightly.
"It's not overly big but mom has plan for all the rooms when me and Nick move out for good," Joe chuckled. "Nick isn't even eighteen yet."
"Can't blame a woman for planning," Demi replied. "We're gonna have to plan our lives out for a bit now."
"Yeah, that's why I went for the internship, it will keep me here and I can get some money saved up." Joe stated.
"It will be nice to have you around." Demi admitted before yawning and Joe laughed slightly.
"Tired?" He inquired and she nodded her head.
"It's been a bit of a busy day." Demi answered.
"Maybe get a nap? Dad isn't home from work until six so dinner won't be until at least half past." Joe suggested.
"I wish you could stay with me." Demi mumbled.
"I can for a bit, come on," Joe encouraged and they both climbed on the bed laying their heads down on the pillow. Demi snuggled up to his chest and Joe wrapped both of his arms around her kissing the top of her head. Demi let out a sigh of satisfaction and Joe smiled. His eyes wandered down to her flat stomach but he knew it wouldn't be like that for much longer. She had life growing inside her and it was only now that he found it so fascinating. "Demi." Demi lifted her head looking up at him.
"Yeah?" She questioned and he couldn't help but smile at her tired face.
"I love you." He breathed and he saw her expression soften slightly a smile pulling at either side of her lips.
"I love you too." She replied pecking his lips gently before snuggling back into his chest and Joe smiled running his fingers through her hair and he slowly felt her fall asleep against him.

Joe made sure Demi was in a deep sleep before he even tried moving. He didn't want to disturb her too much but he managed to slip away without waking her. He made sure the door was shut so she wasn't woken by anything. He peeked into Nick's room seeing he was tidying up a little bit.
"Everything okay?" He questioned.
"Yeah, she's asleep." Joe answered and Nick joined him.
"At least I can go downstairs now, you coming?" Nick chuckled but Joe agreed the two brothers heading downstairs where in the kitchen where Denise was preparing for dinner a little later on.
"Does Demi like lasagna?" Denise inquired her youngest son.
"I don't see why anyone wouldn't," Nick shrugged his shoulders. "But she's asleep so I can't go ask her."
"We'll go out and get her something if she doesn't." Denise concluded.
"Enjoying having a girl around mom?" Joe teased sitting up at the island and she swatted him with her tea towel.
"She's our guest, we have to treat her well." Denise defended herself.
"Can you help me look for jobs after dinner mom?" Nick inquired sitting next to his brother.
"Sure, what are you looking for?"
"Anything really, I just need to get some savings ready." Nick stated.
"I'm sure places will hire you if you look in the right place, you're age will help at some places."
"I could put in a good word where I worked when I was still at school?" Joe suggested.
"Sure, thanks." Nick answered.
"If you want some extra money, you could do some chores around here, you know?" Denise stated.
"Is that a hint mom?" Nick questioned and they laughed.
"Yes, Alena is going to start coming more often and she needs a clean environment, she'll be crawling soon." Denise urged.
"Aw, the cute little stage," Joe cooed and Denise just hit him again with her tea towel. "Child abuse at it's finest."
"You look hard done by, don't you." Denise replied and Joe chuckled.
