It had been a month since Joe and Demi went on their first date and to the surprise of Nick they made it official after the third date. Joe had never been one to keep a girlfriend for long if he even did ask her out to be more than just someone to fuck. But he could see how much they liked one another and it was nice to see. He had continued to sneak around a bit with Demi, making sure that nobody knew the truth, that Joe was really her boyfriend and not him. It was something Demi was adamant on, she knew her parents wouldn't let her go out with a boy who was three years older than she was. Nick was happy to help them out, he just didn't know how much it would be kept as a secret before someone found out.

"You meeting up with Demi?" Nick questioned and Joe nodded his head gently. Nick was just there as an excuse, whenever Demi told her parents she was going out with Nick it was really Joe. Sometimes Nick came by to pick her up and he had been for dinner once at the house.

"Yeah, she's got some news for me apparently." Joe stated.

"Like serious news?" Nick questioned.

"I don't know, she sounded excited over the phone." Joe answered sitting down on his bed next to his brother beginning to put his socks on his feet.

"Maybe she's pregnant from all your antics." Nick smirked and Joe rolled his eyes.

"I think she'd be a little more scared if she was having a baby," Joe stated. "Or I know I would if I was at sixteen."

"Who's having a baby?" They heard looking up seeing Denise in the doorway with a laundry basket in her hands.

"Nobody." Joe assured her.

"Good." She replied before continuing her way down the stairs and Joe took in a deep breath.

"She's seventeen soon." Nick demanded and Joe rolled his eyes making him laugh.

"Yeah and I'm nearly twenty, there's still that age gap that's risky." Joe stated standing up collecting his phone and wallet from the side.

"Hey, I was looking online and there's an internship at a tattoo shop in town, maybe you should check it out." Nick stated.

"Yeah, maybe I should. Thanks bro." Joe patted his back gently before they both left his room. He liked the idea of working already, staying at home where his family was. They had always been a close family and he found it hard being away from them. He had Demi to think about now too, he was experiencing something with her that he never has before with another girl.

Joe smiled as Demi came into his view and he wandered over behind her wrapping his arms around her from the back. Demi smiled as she felt his strong arms around her but she broke free from him leaning up kissing his lips gently and he kissed her back before they both slowly pulled away from one another.

"You okay?" Joe questioned and Demi grabbed hold of his hand as they begun to wander down the street together. They didn't have any plans, they were taking the day as it come, doing what they wanted when they wanted.

"Yeah, I'm good, how about you?" Demi inquired.

"Yeah, I'm better now I'm with you." Joe grinned and Demi playfully rolled her eyes at him but she squeezed his hand.

"Glad I could be of assistance." Demi answered and he laughed.

"Got any plans for your birthday?" Joe questioned.

"Probably a party of some sort, don't know whether to do a big one or just a smaller one with closest friends and stuff," Demi replied. "But it's your birthday before mine! What have you got planned?"

"Nothing, dad normally does a barbecue but I just like to have a chill day more than anything." Joe shrugged his shoulders.

"Really? I thought you'd be the big party kinda guy." Demi teased.

"I like going to them but not hosting them," Joe answered and she laughed. She could understand that. "What's your news anyway?"

"Oh! Dad has promised once I've graduated he's gonna sign me and I'm gonna be a superstar and basically live out my dream!" Demi exclaimed and Joe smiled.

"It's good having a producer as a daddy isn't it," Joe teased and Demi only grinned back at him. "But that's great news! You're gonna do so well." Joe kissed the top of her head and Demi couldn't help but smile.
