"Do I dare ask you both what genders you want?" Nick chuckled after a little bit of silence and Joe glanced at Demi in his middle mirror. He couldn't help but he curious on what she might want. They hadn't discussed it yet but they knew that they'd rather have one or the other.

"Why have a preference when we could have one of each in here." Demi shrugged her shoulders gently.

"But what if you don't, what if they are identical?" Nick inquired and she shrugged her shoulders again.

"I don't think I really care." Demi admitted.

"Bullshit." Joe accused and they all laughed Demi rolling her eyes at the two brothers looking out the window.

"Okay daddy, what do you want?" Nick questioned and Joe shrugged his shoulders too making Demi giggle."You two are just boring."

"Okay Nick, what do you want when you have kids?"

"One of each." Nick replied.

"But which one first?" Demi questioned and Nick rolled his eyes at them both this time. "Not so easy is it."

"I think I want a boy first." Nick spoke honestly.

"Why? All guys want boys." Joe chuckled.

"I don't know, I just like the idea of having a boy then a girl. I know he'd want to protect his little sister and stuff." Nick replied.

"Aren't you cute." Demi cooed.

"Well if all guys want boys then that must mean Joe wants a boy." Nick teased Joe who glanced at him too in the middle mirror before his eyes were back on the road. He'd hate to crash, his whole world was in the car. Even Nick, he didn't know what he'd do without his brother, girlfriend or now his two babies.

"Actually, that's where I'm different. I'd rather have a girl first." Joe admitted.

"Really, why?" Demi questioned curious.

"I don't know, girls just look a lot of fun. Could you imagine if you had two that grew up with one another?" Joe questioned and Demi smiled.

"Actually, I'm kinda hoping we have at least one girl in here." Demi admitted too.

"Who knows? You may have one of each anyway." Nick stated and the thought only made the new parents smile.

"I hope so but I think we're both gonna be happy no matter what we get, right?" Joe stated looking at Demi who nodded her head.

"Oh definitely." Demi agreed.

"Nick, can you answer my phone?" Joe questioned passing it behind him and Nick took it from him looking at the caller ID.

"It's mom," Nick replied but he answered the call holding the phone up to his ear. "Hey mom, Joe is just driving."

"How far away are you?" She questioned but he could hear a slight panic in her voice.

"About five minutes, if that," Nick answered. "Why?"

"The police are here, they want to talk to Joe but they won't tell me what it's about." She explained and Nick took in a deep breath.

"Okay, we'll be there soon." Nick replied saying goodbye to his mother before hanging up the phone.

"What's wrong?" Demi asked concerned.

"The police are at home, they want to talk to Joe." Nick explained.

"What if someone found out about us?" Demi feared.

"I'm sure it's just a bit of a mix up, everything will be okay." Joe assured them both but neither of them said anything. The rest of the car ride was silent as they headed towards home, the three of them getting increasingly worried as time went by.

They could see the police car as Joe pulled up in the driveway but they didn't expect any less. All the happiness they felt from the scan appointment was gone as they entered the house. Joe led the way into the living room where Denise was sat with two officers already having made them a drink.

"Joseph, whatever you have done you better hope it can be sorted." Denise lectured slightly.

"It's okay, Mrs. Jonas. We just need to talk to your son and ask him a few questions, and Demi too if that's okay?" The male officer questioned looking between the three teenagers. Denise was too, trying to work out what was going on.
