Thirteen

Joe and Demi moved apart slightly when they heard a knock on the door but they were relieved when Nick just entered. They were in the house alone but they couldn't risk anything. They didn't know whether they just didn't hear Denise and Paul come home.

"Mom and dad are on their way back. What are we going to do?" Nick questioned and they both got up off the bed not knowing how far away they were. They only went to do some shopping.

"I think we need to tell families about the baby." Demi stated.

"Are we saying I'm the dad for everyone? Not just your parents?" Nick questioned.

"You know mom and dad, they'll tell us to be honest and crap but we can't risk Demi's parents finding out about the baby."

"And you're sure they'll press charges on Joe?" Nick questioned Demi nodding her head.

"I'm sixteen, they can do stuff like that." Demi answered sighing slightly as Joe wrapped his arm around her.

"I'm only doing this because I didn't think my player brother would ever stay in a relationship over a week." Nick warned and Joe rolled his eyes making Demi laugh.

"Have you ever thought that I didn't find the right girl to date before?" Joe questioned and shrugged his shoulders. "But thanks Nick, we both really owe you."

"Yeah you do," He answered making them laugh. "But let's go downstairs. They'll be back soon."

"Maybe we can beat your ass at video games." Demi grinned but she slapped Joe's butt as they wandered out of the room.

"You don't want to be doing that when my parents are nearly home." Joe stated grabbing hold of her hand.

"We've done quick ones before." Demi stated

"Not with me in the house you're not! I'm not listening to that!" Nick demanded and they laughed as he ordered them into the living room and they walked past him. "You've already created a baby, we don't need a twin too."

"We used protection every time we did it and Demi's on the pill, I don't know how it's been created in the first place."

"We didn't use protection one time because we ran out and thought it was fine because I was on the pill remember?" Demi questioned and Joe had to think about it.

"How many times have you done it?" Nick chuckled.

"Oh many times," Joe replied. "But yeah, I remember."

"I forgot my pill that morning." Demi breathed.

"You both should be more responsible." Nick shook his head.

"Too late now but lesson learnt." Joe answered.

"Yeah, lesson learnt so you don't become parents next year too."

"I should have gotten a better form of contraception so I'll probably do that next year when it's safe to." Demi admitted.

"Sounds good to me." Joe grinned kissing her lips and Demi giggled.

They all looked up from the screen when the door opened and Denise and Paul started bringing shopping bags in. Joe paused the game and the two boys begun to get up and help bring the bags in leaving Demi in the living room as they all worked to get everything unpacked away. It didn't take long with four of them.

"I'll send Demi through." Joe whispered in Nick's ear and he nodded his head gently. It didn't take Demi long to be at his side here and He took in a deep breath. He knew once they revealed this their lives would never be the same. He would be known as the baby's father for however long it took for them to reveal the truth.

"Mom, dad, we have something to tell you." Nick admitted and they both looked over getting nervous when they saw Demi was there too.

"What is it?" Paul questioned.

"I'm pregnant." Demi revealed.

"I'm the father." Nick added.

"Nick! What happened to Selena?" Denise questioned this time looking at her son.

"We broke up over a month ago mom, I've been dating Demi since, I have told you I've been going out on dates." Nick reminded her.

"You both should have still been more responsible!" Paul lectured and Denise took in a deep breath looking between them.

"You're keeping the baby?" She inquired and they both nodded their heads gently. "And Nick, you're gonna be there for her the whole time, even when the baby is here?"

"Yes, of course. I'm gonna get a job and stuff." Nick assured them. He would but because he wanted the money himself. Joe would be paying for everything himself. Nick just wanted a job so he could save up for a car of his own.

"Then we have no reason to be too upset. The harm has been done, as long as you're both aware how hard this is going to be for you." Paul urged and they nodded their heads.

"We're aware but I don't agree with abortion and I don't want to give my baby to someone else. Demi stated.

"That's fine, we'll support you," Denise praised. "Give me a hug, both of you." She demanded and they let out a small laugh before hugging Denise and Paul.

Joe had listened to the whole thing relieved that they were being supportive.
