Mackenzie's POV
I look in the mirror. I'm all dressed up in my black and white lace dress with black stilettos. I have my hair curled and my diamond jewelry on me.
I turn slightly to observe my back side. Everything looked perfect. The perfect dress, that formed perfectly to me. I have the perfect shoes, jewelry, the makeup and hair. Everything was perfect.
The only thing to make this better would be if I had the perfect guy to accompany me. Instead though, I have Carson. The second best guy to accompany me.
He did do any grand proposal or anything. It was just a mutual agreement that we'd do to homecoming together. We both wanted to go, we both didn't want to be alone, so therefor the mutual agreement came forth.
There was a knock at my door, then it opened up. On the other side was Carson. He was wearing a suit with a black tie. He smiled weakly at me and walks over.
"You look very pretty Mack," Carson says weakly.
I smiled, "thank you Cars. You look very handsome yourself."
"Thanks. Everyone is downstairs. I figured you'd want me to come get you rather than one of the girls or you mother or sister," Carson explained.
I nod, grabbing my phone and clutch turning back to him. "I very greatly appreciate that. Thank you."
He laughs and together was go downstairs. Being greeted by the sounds of squeals and random chatter.
By everyone we meant everyone. All of our friends, and their families. Including younger and older siblings.
"There they are!" Mom exclaims, walking over to the stairs. "Let's go get some pictures!"
-
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Carson asked.
I nodded, "we said we would. And if we don't they'll find us."
He sighs, "ya you're right. How about we stay for two hours. Not the whole night. I can't handle the whole night," Carson said.
I nodded, agreeing to his suggestion. I can't blame him, I mean homecoming is just a glorified dance that everyone takes way out of proportion. Like seriously, all it is is the gym decorated and lots and lots of grinding.
"Sure, we can go get something to eat after," I say.
He nods and smiled, "I like that."
We both get out of the car. Carson wraps and arm around me and guides me through the sea of people. Some people trying to talk to us, others asking if we were dating. The truth is we're not. We're still with John and Lauren we're just supporting each other.
I sighed and we entered the school, and walked together to the gym. Already hearing the music blast from down the hall.
We stood outside the doors and look at each other. Taking a deep breath then walking in.

I changed into plaid pajama pants, fuzzy socks and a hoodie. My makeup was off and my hair was no longer curly, now it's just damp.
I had showered and gotten ready for bed since it was almost two in the morning. Before I could sleep though, I decided to open a letter.
I open up the box and search through it. Trying to find one to open that is related to either today or the week. Then I found the one.
I pulled it out and looked at it. The letter was in a purple envelope, with little drawings of crowns, and people dancing. The written in cursive was:
Open When...
It's HomecomingI smiled weakly at it. Glad that I had found it today. Rather another day. I gently rip open the envelope, pulling out the lined paper, then several pictures fall out with it. I place them on my desk deciding to look at it later, since John probably talked about it in the letter.
Dear Mackenzie,
Hey babydoll, so it's homecoming night. I already know you went. I know you, you love these things. Well, you love them AND despise them.
You don't like them because it's too hyped up for no reason. When in reality it's just the gym decorated nicely. You also hate it because it's a grind fest and people trying to hook up or get some. And it's one big fantasy land, it's like a fairytale (as you would say) just for one "magical" night, then by Monday you're back to the people you were before.
I get what you mean though babe. I mean, it really isn't that great. It's not that magical and it's certainly a place where people just try to score.
Freshmen year, all of us had gone to it. We decided to see what it was about. Yes we had fun, and yes we laughed at other people dancing and grinding on each other. We even agreed to go the next year.
Last year was better. You and I were on homecoming court. We were "royalty" (hence the purple envelope. Symbolism for royalty). We were on court together. You wore a beautiful gown, and you looked stunning. Absolutely breathtaking, and I loved it. I had even did this big homecoming proposal I spent weeks planning. I wanted it to be perfect, just like you.
I had made sure everything and I mean everything was perfect. I did not want one thing out of place or one thin off by a second. That night, that homecoming was even better than the year before. Because we had be like the crowd.
We grinded, you twerked, we danced the night away. Ending the night in the best way possible. Us two, in your bed, our clothes scattered on the floor. The door was locked and our breathing; heavy and fast.
Then I finally understood it completely. Yes I had seen you naked before, yes I had seen you in your bra before. Yes we have gotten intimate before, but nothing like that night. Nothing compared to that night, it was both our actual first times. We had no idea what we were doing but, we did it.
We got lucky the first time, we weren't caught by anyone. The second time though, not so much. However, that's a story for another letter.
I hope you had fun tonight baby. I wish I could've been there to dance with you throughout the night. Gosh, I can only imagine.
I miss you so much already. Time needs to come by faster. I can't take it, especially without you. But, I have the photos and I have my memories to hold me over for now. The photos provided with this letter, is from homecoming, both years. I hope you love them.
I love you to the moon and back Mack.
Love,
JohnnyI held back the tears. He's such a sweetheart. That's what I love the most about him too. I picked up the photos and go through them. Smiling and laughing.
He always knows what to do. No matter where he is.
"Love you Johnny."
Okay, so I know I said 65 Votes for a new chapter last chapter but y'all don't seem to understand and grasp that concept so we gonna try this shit again.
Also I have two surprises for y'all.
One, if y'all get to the 65 Votes I will do a face reveal.
