Mackenzie's POV
"Hey babe," I smiled.
"Hey there beautiful," he smiled back, leaning in to kiss me.
I lean in too. Getting on my toes to kiss him. Only seconds later to realize, it's not Johnny. It's Carson.
"W-What?" I stutter.
"What's wrong babe?" Johnny asks, walking over to us. "I told you I'd be back soon."
"B-But..."
"What's wrong Mackenzie?" Lauren asks, wrapping her arms around Carson.
"Huh?"
"Come on Mackenzie wake up," Johnny said.
I turn towards him confused.
"What do you mean wake up?" I ask.
"Wake up Mackenzie."
"Wake up."
"Wake up."
I jump up. Rubbing my eyes, realizing it was a dream. Maddie sat on my bed next to me. Shaking me.
"What happened?" I question tiredly.
"You slept through your alarm. Now get ready, we're going to be late for school," Maddie said.
She stood up, and walked out of my room. Closing the door behind her.
I sit in my bed and look around my room. Sighing, I rub my face with my hands and then stand up. Walking to my closet, I pull out ripped skinny jeans, Johnny's hoodie which, should I say is gigantic on me and smells just like him, and white adidas.
I slip out of my pajamas, and into the clothes I took out. Only wearing a sports bra underneath the hoodie because I wanted to be comfortable.
I go to my bathroom and look in the mirror. Too tired to try to look the slightest bit decent, I did my hair in two French braids and did a light layer of makeup. Only to look somewhat alive.
"Guess this is as good as it's going to get," I muttered, grabbing my phone and bag.
Running downstairs, I make my way into the kitchen where I see my family gathered at the table.
I take a deep breath and grab a bottle of water from the fridge and take a seat between Maddie and Mom.
"Are you hungry sweetie?" Mom asks, hoping I'd say yes since I didn't eat last night.
I shake my head no.
I honestly wasn't that hungry. I haven't been hungry. I'm not trying to starve myself or anything, it's just I don't feel the need to eat at the moment.
Mom's hopeful smile turned to a frown at my response. Causing her to wrap her arm around me and kiss my forehead.
"You're perfect sweetie, you don't have to do this to yourself," Mom reassured.
I shake my head and look at her.
"Mom, I'm fine. I'm just not hungry recently."
"Are you sure you're okay?" Dad asks.
I nodded, "I'm positive."
Mom takes a deep breath and nods, "Well okay. Please eat something soon though sweetie."
"I will, I promise," I reassured.
"Mack, come on we have to go," Maddie said standing up.
I stand up to and hug my parents goodbye before running out the door. Making my way to Maddie's car, sitting in the passengers seat.
