Mackenzie's POV

I walked down the halls with my friends, who of course have their significant others with them. While I am alone. Well, Carson and I are alone. We have each other at least.

I mean I don't like Carson that way. I think he's sweet and all but, nothing like John. Nobody will ever be like John.

"So, he sent you the Open When letters?" Annie questioned.

I nodded, "ya a whole big ass thing of them too."

"That's cute," Brynn smiled. "Did it have their address on it?"

I shake my head. "No information of theirs at all," I say sadly.

"At least you got something. Lauren didn't do that. If I had her address I would," Carson moped.

I sigh and wrap my arm around him. "Maybe she'll send you something Cars. If anything, I'll let you read some of mine so you think Lauren sent it," I suggested.

He shrugged. "Thanks but, I'll pass. I don't want to read them. They're yours and since I know it's Johnny, I'll just keep thinking about him writing them to me. Which would be awkward and uncomfortable," Carson explained.

We laughed and entered our third period. It wasn't too bad of a class. Only chemistry, it was really easy to me.

I take a seat at my table along side Carson, Brynn, Lexi and Hayden. I pulled out my binder and a pencil for the class. Waiting patiently for it to start.

"What are you doing after school Mack?" Lexi asked.

I shrugged, "probably just going to go home and hang there. Why?"

"Well, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out. The girls and us together. You really need it, and the boys are going to do the same with Carson. We can go to your house if you want," Lexi explained.

I nodded. Agreeing to her idea. "Sure why not. I could use the company other than my mother and sister," I say.

Lexi smiled and hugs me. "It'll be fun I promise," she says, just as the bell started to ring.

"Okay chillren's, I'm giving back your test from last week, while I'm doing that, I want you to work on the problems I gave you yesterday," my chemistry teacher, Mr. Maggi, announced.

We nodded and got to work. The problems were easy. I could do it in my sleep if I wanted too. It was a simple process, however not many people understood. Which is odd because this is an honors class.

When he got to my table he passed me my test. I pick it up and look at the score. 95%.

I smiled weakly and put the test in my binder. Then flipping back to the paper with all the problems that needed to be solved.

-

"So are these the letters?" Ruby asked, picking up the box.

I nodded and grabbed the box from her. Sitting down on my bed as all my friends gathered around.

"Let's see the different types there are," Brynn suggested.

I nodded, planning to do so anyways. I opened the lid and move it to the side. Getting distracted as my door opened up.

I look over and see my sister and her friends. Standing in my doorway, then walking in. Making themselves welcome to MY room, I mean I don't mind but, still. It's my room.

"Hey Mack, how're you doing?" Maddie's friend, Nia, asked.

Within her friend group, there are Nia, Kalani and Chloe who have already graduated. Then there's Kendall who's still in school and is in the same grade as Maddie.
