Mackenzie's POV

Do you ever have one of those days, where- you feel ugly? You just feel terrible about yourself? Just completely, totally hate yourself and how you look?

That was today. That was my exact feeling today. I woke up and got ready for school, just like any other day. Except today, when I looked in mirror to see what I looked like; I wasn't satisfied.

I kept looking, trying to readjust my bra, or fix my shirt. Nothing worked. And it was a cute outfit too, so it kind of made me sad.

I took off my shirt and then looked in the mirror. Staring at myself in the reflection. I turned to my side and stared. Looking down at my stomach.

God I'm so fat, how come nobody told me I'm this fat? I thought.

I continue to look until I was summoned downstairs by mother.

I decided to wear a hoodie and sports bra like most other days, since i obviously wouldn't like how I'd look in anything else. Plus, nobody can see how fat I am.

I run downstairs with my things and seeing my sister eating breakfast and only my mother rushing around the kitchen. Dad was out of town until tomorrow for business.

I set my things down and walk into the kitchen only to get a cup of water.

"I'm running a bit late today, you breakfast is on the counter. I love you and I'll see you tonight," Mom said, kissing my head then Maddie's and finally leaving.

I take a sip of my water and grab my breakfast. Staring at it. Oatmeal.

I made a disgusted face. Even though I usually like it; I wasn't in the mood to eat it this morning.

It's just going to make me more fat, I think to myself.

"Maliboo, come here," I called out, setting the bowl on the floor and watching my dog run over and eat it.

"Kenz! You need to eat!" Maddie scolded, washing her plate.

"I'm not hungry," I lied.

I was kind of hungry but, not starving.

Maddie shot me a look. I, in return send one back. Having a stare down for several moments before anything was said.

"Alright but, make sure you eat something later. Don't go the whole day without eating it's not healthy," Maddie explained.

I nod and go grab my things, heading out to Maddie's car. Ready for the long miserable day.

"Kenz, why didn't you get lunch?" Ashton questioned.

Lunch had just started a few minutes ago. Everybody had grabbed their questionable cafeteria food and finally sat down.

"Oh, I'm not hungry," I shrugged, sipping my water.

"Maddie warned me about this," Lexi stated.

I plaster a confused look onto my face. Unsure of what the hell she's talking about.

"She texted me this morning and said, make sure Kenz eats lunch she didn't eat breakfast this morning," Lexi announced, reading the text off her phone.

Now suddenly all eyes were on me. All of my friend now were staring at me. Their eyes full of concern.

"Go get some food," Mark said.
