Chapter 17 • Black Friday

Mackenzie's POV

We've been standing outside the mall for about an hour already. It's been so cold lately so, it doesn't really help the fact that we've been standing OUTSIDE for about an hour.

"What store are we going to first?" Annie asks.

"Forever Twenty One," Brynn responded.

The boys groaned, knowing they'd have to come with us and go to the "girlie" stores.

"Boys, you don't have to come with," I say turning to them.

"You serious?" Carson questions.

The girls and I nodded. If we're being honest, it'd be less of a problem for us if they didn't come. All they do is complain so, it's nice to have them go wherever they wanted to go instead of complain with us.

Moments later, the door opens up and we rush inside. Heading out separate directions, the girls and I dashed to Forever 21.

"Okay, we're the first ones here," Lexi states breathlessly.

We nodded and started to walk around the store. Picking up things that we liked and tried them on in the fitting rooms.

"How does this look?" I ask.

I was wearing an oversized Coca Cola sweatshirt with Coca Cola written in different languages. It was really cute in my opinion, plus it kind of made me thing of John.

"It looks good I like it," Ruby smiled.

I smiled back and changed back into my clothes. Collecting the items I wanted to purchase in my hands, I left the ones I didn't like in the fitting room.

"Okay girls, let's pay for this then let's go to pacsun," Brynn said.

We nodded and gathered our things entering the line to check out. Waiting for the people to call us next, we texted the boys letting them know we were going to leave.

"So you excited Kenz?" Lexi asked.

"Excited for what?" I questioned.

"From the letter it sounds like Johnny's coming back really soon, you excited?" Lexi explained.

I take a deep breath and shrugged. Not thinking too much about it.

"He's probably just saying that to make it seem like whenever he does come back, feels like it's sooner than later," I say.

They nodded understandingly.

We were finally called down to check out purchasing our items and exiting the store.

"I love Black Friday shopping," Annie smiled.

"Same, remember last year when we went?" Lexi questioned, chuckling thinking about the memory.

Flashback

"Johnny! Please!" I begged, giving him a pouty face.

We were midst of the mall during Black Friday. Our friends have gone with their boyfriends to the stores they wanted to go to, then meet up at Nordstrom.

"Babe, I'm not going in Victoria's Secret," John groans.

I pouted and wrapped my arms around his waist. Pulling myself closer to him. I start to move my hands up his body until they rested at his neck.

"How about, you can pick out the panties I get?" I whisper seductively.

I can see the smile he's trying to hide.

"Maybe later we can have a show?" I teased, biting my lip at the end. If this doesn't get what I want, I don't know what will.

He smile at me and nods.

"Of course, I don't want to miss out on seeing this beautiful," Johnny whispers, rubbing his hands up and down my sides.

I smiled and grabbed his hand, dragging him into the store. Finding several men there who came with their girlfriends or wives.

I take John around the store where I kept my promise. Letting him pick out the underwear and bras I got.

"I don't know babe," I say hesitantly. "It's a bit too... revealing."

I looked at the bra and matching underwear he wanted me to get. It wasn't even a bra really. It was more mesh than anything. Definitely something I wouldn't get.

"Come on babe," John begs. "For our nights together."

I sighed and looked at him, "fine I'll get it. But, to get me to wear it you have to be extra good."

"I can make that happen," he grinned.

I laughed and rolled my eyes walking to the check out. Getting to the cashier John steps in front of me and takes out his wallet.

"I got this love," he said, winking at me.

Oh he's trying so hard to get me into those tonight.

I smirked and let him buy it for me. We walked out of the store and decided to go meet up with our friends.

However, when we got to Nordstrom we found security holding on to Lexi and our friends yelling. John and I looked at each other and ran to them.

"The hell happened?" I questioned.

"Lexi ripped a woman's weave out and elbowed her," Mark sighed.

I bit my lip trying to contain my laughter.

"Sir please, it was an accident," Lexi begs.

The officer looks and groans.

"Fine but, don't do it again okay?" He said.

Lexi nodded and he let go of her. Exiting the store.

End of flashback

"That was so funny," Ruby giggled.

"Seriously, you were almost arrested. It was hilarious," Brynn said.

I laughed and shook my head at them. Thinking about that hurts my heart. In more ways than one.

But it hurts to think about him.
