"There lives matter." That phrase was written all over the area. Printed, tarpaulin pasted and mural artwork's were themed by that.
Isang charity event. Somehow, I'm pleased to know that we are involved in this program but then, there's this question in my head. Does Pert's Club has something to do with this foundation?
Felix grabbed me by the waist.
"Maraming bigtime sponsors ang foundation na'to. One of them is Mr. Carlo Alison." My gaze was diverted on to the man which I think is on his late 50's.
"Reason is we need closer connection and so we could build a deeper relation. And by that, persuasion is the secret for the next illicit partnership." He added, professionally standing to hide the growing evilness behind the suit.
"Come on." He was about to take his step forward when I purposely slapped his hands away from my waist.
"What the-" His eyes widened when I cut him off
"Act ethically Sir Pert."
After that, we went on to the area where Mr. Alison was.
Greetings were there and so they started their talk. They started as two but due to the fact that business is in the middle, some made their moves as well.
Conversing and exchanging ideas like a civilized people whom you'll look up to. All of them are pro's in terms of discussing one's role but let us put in mind that in business, everyone's eager to step on to one's head just for them to continue ascending on to the stairs.
Nasagilid lang ako ni Felix. And when the time came that I couldn't bear the dullness inside this sphere anymore. I stood and let my feet do its part.
I even felt his cold eyes glaring at me. Tss! I can't just sit there and witnessed their conversation within their monotonous intention.
"Mommy?" Im exploring the place when I heard a little voice spoke behind me.
"Mommy?"
"Mommy!" She ran towards me and tightly hugged my waist.
"Mommy!" She bury her face on to my shirt and sobbed like a little lost girl.
"Hey." I knelt down and gently placed my hands on her shoulders. "Don't cry."
"Sshhh...I'm sure your mom's been searching for you." My eyes glowed and smiled widely but her face remained sad, shooking her head while pouting.
"Nawawala ka, Nan- nandito 'ba mommy mo?" She again shook her head.
"Wa-wala...wala kang mommy?" She intently stared at me then pointed me using her index finger.
Kunot nuong natigilan ako. In my guess, It seems like this little girl's been suffering a certain disease. She's thin and she looks so pale with her mask on.
"Uhm Mam, sorry po. Sorry po. Naku! Sorry po talaga kong naabala man kayo ng batang 'to. Eh kanina ko pa kasi 'to hinahanap dahil maguumpisa na ang feeding." Isang matabang babae ang lumapit samin at nag-aalang hinimas-himas ang likuran ng bata.
"May feeding program?"
Nakangiting saad niya.
