Kahoot tells you to stay in your seat while he quickly hops out of the car and shuffles over to your side. He opens the door, bowing with a look of amusement on his face.

"How gentlemanly of you," you tease.

You could tell that Kahoot was already having fun. Being around you made him feel comfortable, like he could be himself, and it was one of the best feelings in the world. He didn't have to pretend or wear a mask; you would accept him just as he was, and not want to change a single thing. He puts his hand out and you go to grab it.

You reach out blindly, still trying to unbuckle your seat belt. Your hand is met with air and your stomach lurches, so you know you're going to fall before you even hit the ground. Before your face can be imbedded with gravel, Kahoot catches you in his arms and dips you. For a kid who couldn't play sports, he had really good reflexes.

He looks down at you, face blank, before breaking out in a lopsided grin.

"Did you just fall for me?" he jokes. "Get it? Cause you just-"

You playfully push his face away, interrupting him.

"Stopppppp," you groan jokingly. "Your puns are getting worse by the second."

He narrows his eyes and lifts an eyebrow.

"Oh?" he says, taking that as a challenge. "Are you wearing space pants?"

You don't say anything, and he pauses a moment for dramatic effect.

"Cause your ass is outta this world! Ha! You know, that's almost like a triple pun you, seeing as we're out here for space and all," he rambles.

You cringe at first, blushing slightly, but seeing him laugh with a pleased smile makes you smile as well.

"If you're done, do you mind us doing what you bought us here for?" you say amicably.

Without missing a beat, Kahoot pulls you up and drags you toward the back of the truck. He opens the back door, which falls with a bang. With agility to rival a cat, he jumps up onto the tailgate.

"Come on!" he says, reaching out for you. "We're going to look at the stars."

Your shoes squeak as you hop up with him, and find that he's lain down on an inflatable mattress covered with blankets and pillows. It has a big purple comforter, two fluffy blankets, and one of those sheets that would make you feel warm no matter how cold you were. Not to mention the pillows, which were each and every size and could probably reach up to your height if they were all stacked up on top of each other.

Kahoot suddenly tugs on your arm, making you lose balance, and you fall down beside him giggling. He pulls you into his arms and you burry your head into the crook of his neck.

"Remember when we were at the park, and I mentioned that I used to have a place to call my own? Back where I used to live?" Kahoot asks.

You nod.

"Well," he murmurs, "this reminds me of it."

"I like it," you tell him.

You look up at him. He's wearing his red and blue glasses again along with another beanie, and it suits him nicely. You notice that he smells like a computer website (and damn if that wasn't odd) but also sweet like cinnamon.

"You smell really good," you mumble into his neck.

"Yeah?" He touches your chin and tilts your head up to his, lips now only centimetres apart from each other. "I bet I taste even better."

Kahoot's eyes flick down to your lips and the quick change makes your breathe get caught in your chest. You're suddenly aware of how close you two are, practically breathing in the same air. You look down at his lips almost as soon as he returns your gaze, and by time you look back at his eyes, Kahoot is staring at your lips again. Kahoot doesn't think. He just moves, bringing your lips together.

The kiss starts off slow, your lips moving gently against his. Kahoot places his hand on your side and turns you over, so that he's now lying on top you. The pressure of his body against yours feels really good and you can't help the sigh that escapes your lips. The kiss gets heated as he takes the opportunity to lick into your mouth, making you gasp. You pull his body down as close as possible and tangle one of your hands in his hair.

For around 10 minutes you both continue as you are. Eventually, the passion in your kisses dies out, and the two of you pull back. You both and stare into each other's eyes until  speaks softly.

"Do you wish to look up now?"

"Okay," you whisper back.

You never really take the time to just look up and get lost. It's like a whole other world up there: white-hot light sitting at unfathomable distances away, crumbles of rock clashing together, and who knows? Maybe even life. Surprisingly, it was always Phoenix who was interested in the galaxy and stars, and it seems that Kahoot is like that too. I guess Phoenix was right about seeing pieces of himself in him. Kahoot startles you from your thoughts.

He says (in a voice that was probably meant to be romantic, but sounds more phoney than anything): "If I could reach the stars, I'd give them all to you."

Sure, it's cheesy, but it still makes you blush.

"You did not think of that yourself," you challenge, shuffling on the blankets. "You read it somewhere, I guarantee."

He's quiet for a moment. "It's from a Cher song," Kahoot whispers, and you snort a laugh.

You both don't say much after that. It's silent at last, only the sound of gentle breathing and the wind in the air. So you look up.

They sky is velvet black, punctured by stars.
