The inside of the arcade is shaped like a car racing track. All of the games, including Tetris (Kahoot's favourite) line the walls, and various food vendors with places to sit occupy the middle area. The scent of pizza lingers in the air, and it makes your mouth water.

"I can't wait to start, I have whole gameplay strategy planed out! We are so getting the most tickets," he yells out cheerfully to you.

The sound of screaming children and pinging games drowns out his voice, but you don't need to hear it to tell that he's excited. Today after school you both decided to hit the arcade, so here you are. You both walk over to a nearby till to get tokens, shoes sticking uncomfortable with every step taken. Probably on spilled soft drinks.

"I've always wanted to go to an actual arcade. This is so cool," he tells you.

"You've never been to one before?"

"Nah, I didn't really have any friends and mom wouldn't let me go alone, so..." He lets his sentence trail off. He looks sad for a moment, but then he slings his arms around your shoulders and says "But I've got you now. Bay and Phoenix too, I guess."

It makes you smile.

There must be a special energy about arcades, because as soon as you get your tokens Kahoot is off. The moment he finishes out trying one game he bolts to the next, your hand in his. One, to the other, to the next in an endless cycle. There seems to be no logic to his chaos either; the path between games criss-cross like shoelaces until you're dizzy trying to keep up.

"Hey Kahoot, do you mind if we slow down a bit? We're kind of just running all over the place," you plead. He said he had a plan, but you suppose it slipped his mind. This is madness. Fun madness, but madness nonetheless.

"Yeah, sorry," he says somewhat sheepishly. "There's just so much to do and see!"

You already knew that Kahoot is a very curious and energetic person, everything endlessly fascinating to him, and this confirms it. Which gives you an idea for your next date.

"I'd hate to see you at an amusement park, you'd be flying all over the place for hours," you joke. This makes him pause for a second, which is what you'd hoped for.

"Could we...I mean, i don't if you'd want, or if we can, but-"

"Sure," you interrupt, knowing that he'd ask if you could go to one. "There's actually a moving amusement park that should be setting up here in about a week, and i'd love to go with you. That is...if you want to?"

He beams, then nods enthusiastically. Kahoot makes an effort to go slower after that. It helps that the next game he tries is Tetris, where you know he'll stay if you don't say otherwise.

Profiting of this momentary pause, you decide to loop around and see what else there is to do after telling him you'll be back soon. The skee-ball machine is currently child-free, so you decide on that. You play a couple of times until you feel your heart skip a beat. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw a stand of pink pastel hair whip past. Bay's here? You turn around, and sure enough, there she is.

With...Kai?
