Chapter 12

Chapter 12:

I throw the sheets off my sweaty body, I never sweat. Unless, of course, I'm in a werewolf heat. Of course I just had to get a freakin werewolf as a mate. Why not a normal human being? Preferably one that didn't bite my neck and throw me into freakin heat. I now know why they call it that; I can feel the licks of heat traveling up my body, like there is a slow burning fire in my veins. The worst part is, I can't stop it; at least not with water. Every time I even think of Jaiden it's like throwing gasoline onto an open fire, much less seeing him. He keeps begging me to let him help me, to let him stop the uncomfortable warmth, but I refuse to give in.

I groan and push myself off the bed and make my way to the shower. I plan on taking my first ever cold shower to try to stop this heat. I step into the freezing water and sigh in relief at how good it feels. I quickly wash my hair and body, and hop out. I look in the drawers for some shorts when I come across a bikini, which gives me a brilliant plan. I'm going to go swimming! I quickly slip on the bikini and a loose fitting tank and make my way down stairs to the pool room, yes the pool room. Jai showed it too me yesterday when he gave me a proper tour of the house, which quickly ended when he realized that my heat had began...

Flashback:

"This is the pool room, we have a hot tub, a steam room, and a heated pool." Jai explained and escorted me around the room, "and if you walk through this door, it leads you directly to-" he started, but suddenly broke off and started smelling the air. I looked at him curiously as his eyes began to darken. In a matter of seconds, he had me pushed against the wall with his mouth on mine. Our kiss was something different. It was filled with so much lust that I could practically taste it.

"Not that I don't enjoy this, because I really do, but why the sudden passion" I gasped out as he moved from my lips to my neck, holding in the moan that was desperate to escape.

"Well darling, you heat has now began" He smirked as I became aware of the heat traveling through my veins.

So basically, I immediately locked myself in our room and I refused to let that idiot in until it was time to go to bed; which, by the way, did not really turn out that great since I was tossing and turning the whole night.

I glance around the pool room before I peeled the shirt of my body and dived into the refreshing pool. When I was little I took swimming lessons, so I know how to do all those weird swim techniques. I was swimming laps for about an hour before I noticed someone standing at the edge of the pool. I swim over to them and pull myself out of the pool.

"I was wondering where you went" Jai smiled

"Yeah, well it was helping my situation until you decided to show up and make it kick up again" I frowned.

"You know I could always help you" He smirked and sexy smile, that he knew would make me want to melt into a puddle on the ground

"In your dreams" I smirked before sauntering off. "And in mine," I mutter quietly, knowing that he can't hear me.

"You can count on that!" He called after me making me giggle as I made my way back to our room. After I got dressed I made my way downstairs to the kitchen to make me some food. When I got down there, there was already a girl in there who looked surprisingly familiar. She immediately stopped doing the dishes when she saw me,

"Hey! What's your name?" I asked cheerfully

"Amber, and correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you Violet??" She questioned
