Well that was interesting! So how about that Liam? Total ass or total sweetheart?
----------------------------------------When I woke up I was surprised it was almost the next night already. I had slept over ten straight hours and would have continued to sleep but my stomach was growling so damn loud I couldn't.
I crawled out of bed and quickly left the room and tried to find my way to the kitchen but I had no idea where the hell I was going. I walked down all the stairs until I was on the first floor but every turn I made felt like I was going in circles. I opened every door I seen but all I found were closets and bathrooms. Finally there was a girl who looked about my age so I decided to ask her for help.
"Excuse me where is the kitchen?" I asked desperately.
"Follow me I'll show you. My name is Amber, I'm the betas Chris's mate. What's your name?" She kindly introduced herself. She was about my height with honey brown hair and eyes to match. She was naturally beautiful but in simple effortless way.
"Hi I'm Stormy. I'm new here."
"I can tell, you walked passed the kitchen three times." She giggled a melodious laugh and I blushed from embarrassment when she pushed open a door that said kitchen in big bold letters across it.
When we walked into the kitchen so many wonderful aromas clouded my nose. There was a buffet of meats, sides, desserts, breads, etc down the counters. Without even thinking I ran up to the counter and started picking up food right off the plates. I piled bite after bite into my mouth barely chewing before swallowing.
"You know we have plates and silverware right? Just because you're an animal doesn't mean you have to act like one." Liams amused voice broke me from my food trance. I turned and noticed there was a long table on the back wall of the kitchen were pack members were crowded around, each of them now staring at me with curious and comical expressions. I know I must have looked insane with food all over my face and hands.
"Ooops." I muffled out as I chewed the remaining food in my mouth.
"Make yourself a plate and join us for dinner, I have people I want you to meet." Liam smiled and I piled food on a plate and sat down at the empty seat beside him.
"This is my beta Chris and his mate Amber." He gestured towards the red headed man from last night who looked much happier and at ease with his mate beside him. He smiled apologetically at me and I offered him a genuine smile.
"This is my omega, third in command Ethan. He hasn't met his mate yet which is why he is so arrogant but he's a good guy once you get to know him." Liam pointed over to the other guy from last night who smirked at me.
"Hey babe, nice to meet ya. Looks like we are going to be spending more time together. Maybe you and I can spend some one on one time together if you catch my drift." He winked seductively at me with his dark brown eyes as he tossed his long black hair out of his face I couldn't fight the urge to pick up a piece of steak and throw it at him, so I tossed it hard and laughed loudly as it smacked him in the forehead.
"I am not a piece of meat you jackass!" I snapped at him and he looked pissed but I didn't care.
"Ethan you are to treat our new guest with respect. Do I make myself clear?" Liam commanded him and Ethan snapped out of it quick and regained his composure.
"Yes Alpha." He answered him and continued eating.
"This is my sister Lydia. She and Amber will give you the grand tour. If you need any clothes or anything let them know. The guys and I will be out running the borders." With that he left us girls alone in a semi awkward silence.
"So how do you know Alpha Liam?" Amber was the first to break the silence.
"I really don't know him at all." I answered as I fidgeted with my fingers.
"No offense but then why are you here? He just agreed to let you stay?" Lydia asked confused. She had Liams same sandy blonde hair and their emerald green eyes were identical.
"He and his beta and omega caught me running through your border. After pegging me with rocks and jabbing me with sticks they brought me here. Your brother asked me a million questions and once he found out why I ran away and why my mate doesn't want me he offered me a place to stay." I shrugged as I answered her question. She looked at me with sad eyes.
"My brother is so sweet, he's going to be such a good mate whenever he meets his, well either way we are glad to have you here. You're going to love it!" Lydia smiled with pride in her eyes when she spoke about her brother.
"I am just glad to be here. Everyone seems so nice. Except for Ethan he seems like a douche." I snorted sarcastically and both girls erupted with laughter.
"Oh yeah he's an ass but he means well." Amber laughed as she defended him.
"Now how about that tour?" Lydia changed the subject with a pang of sadness in her eyes but she hid it well.
"Lets do it." I stood up and pushed my chair in. They showed me the kitchen, the livingroom where there were tall DVD stands filled with what looked like every movie ever made. There was a projector screen that filled a whole wall and there were two long couches and a few recliners facing the wall.
"This is the Alphas office but don't go in there without permission, he doesn't like people in there." Amber warned me seriously and I nodded in understandment.
Next we went upstairs to the second floor. There was another livingroom but this one was stocked with xboxs, PlayStations and other game consoles and a huge flat screen tv. Like the third floor there was a long hallway of doors up and down it.
"These are just pack members rooms. I'll show you my room and where you can find me if you need me." Amber showed me her and her mates room. There was a king sized bed against the back wall with a nightstand on each side. There was a long mirror dresser against one of the side walls with framed pictures of them along every dresser and even some hanging on the walls.
Next we went upstairs to the third floor and they showed me Lydias room which was right next to the room I was staying in.
"Oh we are neighbors!" Lydia gushed excitedly as she opened her bedroom door. Everything was purple, from the walls to the bedding just different shades of purple. Her walls were filled with band posters most of the same bands I listened to.
"Nice posters, I didn't peg you for the classic rock type." I admired her posters for a moment longer regretting not bringing my iPod. I made a mental note to grab it next time I went home.
"Don't let looks fool you. Just because my room is purple doesn't mean I'm a child with bad taste in music." She pointed her finger at me teasingly.
"Fair point." I laughed as well left her room
"Alpha Liam has the whole fourth floor to himself and like his office we aren't allowed up there without permission." Amber warned me again.
"Got it." I said in understanding.
"Now let's go see the backyard to finish the tour. It's the best part!" Lydia squealed as she led the way down the flights of stairs. We went through the kitchen and through the same garage I was in last night. I noticed there was a built in gym attached to the garage that I didn't notice last night. We walked out of the door attached to the side wall of the garage and into the backyard. The backyard was huge. There was an underground pool with an attached hotub, a training area with gym mat flooring, and a trampoline where pack members children were screaming and laughing while they jumped. There were flower beds filled with vibrant colored roses and other beautiful flowers. Being in the backyard brought a feeling of serenity, I hadn't felt this calm in a while.
"Peaceful isn't it?" Amber asked me with a knowing smile on her face.
"Its breathtaking!" I gushed mesmerized by it all. We sat down at the patio table in a comfortable silence and listened to the squeals of the children playing and the birds chirping. For once I felt like I belonged and even though I barely knew these people I knew I was exactly where I belonged.
