I woke up bright and early the next morning. I crawled out of bed and put on workout capris and a long sleeve shirt. I left the room quietly trying not to wake up Daniel who had stayed up late working on merger details. I went downstairs and started some coffee and jumped up on the counter and sat there waiting for it to brew. Once it was done I grabbed a mug and made myself a glass and added some creamer to it and grabbed my cup and made my way to Daniels gym. I had only been in here once and that was just when I was learning where everything was.

It smelt like cleaner and gym equipment. I flicked on the lights and sat my mug down and started to get the room ready for the day. I rolled the long floor mat out and pulled out the punching bags. Once it was finally a decent hour and other members were starting to roll out of bed I went upstairs and gathered all the women and older children and told them to get dressed and meet me down in the gym in an hour and thankfully none of them protested.

I went back down to the gym and ran a few miles on the treadmill to warm myself up and I had forgotten how much I loved to run.

'Must be nice.' Kimber huffed in annoyance, she had been begging to come out but with everything going on I haven't let her.

'I will talk to Daniel and maybe tonight we can go for a run. Now calm down.' I told her and she huffed again before she left me alone.

One by one women and children piled into the gym. They all looked me in confusion and curiousness as they walked into the gym and sat down while we waited for everyone to join us.

"Perfect now that we are all here I can get started. I know things have been changing around here now that I am your Luna and with the merger two days away I wanted to step it up. I realize that you don't know me so I am not going to stand here and demand things from you, not yet anyways." I broke the ice and everyone giggled while they listened to me.

"As you already know I am your Luna and my name is Stormy. Now I know that women and children don't go to battle but that doesn't stop packs from being invaded and attacked and I want everyone to know how to protect themselves should anything ever happen. My job as your Luna is to take care of the women and the children and there's more to that than cooking and cleaning for you. I want everyone to learn protective skills. I am going to be more hands on, you will probably get tired of me but to be honest I don't care." I told them and their faces all melted with pride and acceptance as I spoke to them and they listened intently.

When I was growing up my dad put me and my sister through intensive training, especially being Alphas children and his only daughters. He was harder on us and he made sure that we knew how to protect ourselves for any situation.

"Up on your feet." I instructed and within seconds everyone had stood up and was waiting for the next instructions.

"I want you to find a partner, and stretch." I told them and the room erupted in chaos while everyone picked their partners. There was an odd number of people in the room so everyone in the room had a partner except a boy named Samuel who was around twelve years old. His eyes were sad as he searched the room desperately for a partner.

"Want to be my partner?" I asked him and he instantly brightened, his mom looked at me with gratitude as she mouthed thank you and I nodded once at her.

"How old are you Samuel?" I asked him as I reached my hands forward bending over stretching my lower back.

"I'm eleven, but you can just call me Sam." He answered and then copied the move I had just did.
