Girls Day

"What movie should we watch?" Lisa asked as she searched through the entertainment center for dvds. We all agreed to having a lazy girls day at my house lounging around, eating junk food, and watching movies, our favorite thing to do.

"I don't care but whatever you choose it better not be the notebook." I said as I put all the chips, drinks, and candy on the coffee table.

"Hey that's a good movie!" Lisa shot back in mock offense.

"Yes it is but not when it's the only fucking movie you pick." Alaina came from behind me her arms full of face masks and nail polish and sat in on the coffee table along with the food.

"Fine! A scary movie it is." Lisa snapped as she grabbed a DVD from the shelf and popped it into the player and then she plopped on the couch with the tv remote in her hand.

When the movie started I zoned out. I couldn't get Daniel off of my mind. Was he okay? Where was he at? Was he hurt? My wolf was a mess with worry. I knew I shouldn't care because the guy is an absolute asshole but the moment we shared before he left made it impossible not to care.

"Earth to Stormy!" Olivia snapped her fingers in my face to get my attention pulling me from my thoughts.

"What?" I asked focusing on her.

"You okay? You blanked out, I've been calling your name." She asked with a comical look on her face.

"Yeah I'm fine. Sorry." I offered her a small smile, hoping to convice her but she could see right through it.

I leaned forward and grabbed a bottle of dark green fingernail polish off of the coffee table and started to paint my fingernails.

"You're worried about Daniel aren't you?" Olivia asked again, her tone much softer with concern. I wanted to deny it and act like I was fine, but they would have seen right through it.

"As much as I don't want to be, I can't help it." I admitted.

"He is the strongest Alpha I know. He will be okay, I promise." Alaina leaned foward and gave my knee a gentle squeeze.

"You're probably right but I just can't help it. No matter how hard I try he is always on my damn mind." I sighed loudly and threw my head backwards.

"Do you know when he will be back?" Lisa asked curiously.

"Liam said it wouldn't take more than a day or two max so they should be back sometime tomorrow." I answered my voice full of hope.

"Are you even watching what you're doing? That's a shit paint job you got going on there." Alaina scowled in disgust as she starred at my nails.

"It's called art bitch!" I gawked as a I waved my green and yellow swirled together nails in the air.

"More like a toddler disaster." She mumbled under her breath while she finished her neon hot pink perfectly painted nails.

"So what's it like at Liams pack house?" Olivia asked as she rubbed some peel off mask on her face.

"It's good, different but good. He has a sister and her name is Lydia, they look like identical twins. The girls are alot nicer there than they are from here and Daniel's pack." I answered honestly.

"Any other hot guys running around that pack? Because Liam is dayum!" Olivia sighed romantically.

"Oh a few no doubt." I answered with a wink.

"I want to meet my mate already it's not fair you all have found yours already!" Olivia whined in desperation.

"Your birthday is literally tomorrow calm down you big baby!" Lisa snapped playfully.

"I know and I'm so nervous you know? Like the whole shifting thing sounds terrifying and I haven't even met my mate so I'll have to shift alone." Olivia admitted in a shaky breath.

"Sure it hurts like hell but you won't be alone, we will all be there right beside you." I grabbed her hand and squeezed it reassuringly.

"I just want it to be over with already honestly so I can meet my mate and be complete ya know?" She grabbed a pack of gummy worms off of the coffee table and started shoving them in her mouth one at a time.

"Be careful what you wish for Liv. I wanted to meet my mate so bad and look how well thats working for me. Hopefully your mate isn't an asshat." I warned her, seriously wanting her to be happy with a mate who actually deserved her.

"That would be just my luck." She let out a sarcastic laugh and then started to paint her toenails.

"Have you heard from Zach? I haven't heard a word from Mason and it's driving me insane." Lisa worriedly asked Alaina as she started to peel of her charcoal pore strip from her nose.

"He mindlinked me earlier briefly and said so far everything was okay but he couldn't tell me much."

"You girls want some real food instead of all of this junk?" My mom asked as she came into the living room. Her face full of disgust as she looked around at our pile of snacks.

"Oh Naomi that would be amazing!" Olivia gushed while her stomach growls in agreement.

"I'll get right on it then!" My mom beamed excited to do any mom deed that she possibly could. She quickly scurried off to the kitchen to whip something up.

"Hey Liv you have something on the end of your nose there." Lisa squinted and pointed to the end of her nose.

"What is it?" Olivia asked while trying to whip
it off.

"Shit, you brown nosing kiss ass!" Lisa clapped back and we all erupted in laughter meanwhile Olivia didn't seem the least bit amused.

"Oh fuck you! I'm hungry! We haven't eaten real food all day." Liv whined which made us all laugh even harder.

We spent the rest of the night watching movie after movie and eating spaghetti and meatballs that my mom had made. We didn't talk about the guys anymore for the rest of the night and for that I was extremely thankful. Even though I was worried about Daniel and even Liam being with my girls always made everything better.
